The canvas shopper is the best option i agree.Hopefully we will have enough votes by friday to decide.I suggest going on to the website,we cant download all the images and if we have 4 to choose from with slightly different designs amybe it will help us decide

Few businesses in ED feel the same but there is not a lot you can do about other businesses opening up.Existing businesses reinvent themselves constantly.Unfortunately people do not do their research properly when they open up a business in a area,people presume we need more gifts,toys and nappies and physio.On the other hand again this is my opinion so please do not make too much of it. -
cotton or canvas,jute not practical beacuse the handles can be uncomfortable,but thats my opinion.I prefer to see what the general consensus is

Following on from cloth bags,i have been given a great link to a company called supreme-creations.co.uk can the edfites have a look at the bags and vote on which bag you think may be the East Dulwich cloth bag.Then cast your vote on here.They are organic and fair trade and the prices look very competitive,which will make southwark smile.

Update on the bags,im about to send the application form back to southwark for funding.There is a scheme called cleaner greener projects,in which Richard Thomas gave me the link too,and Susan kindly downloaded and emailed to me,thanks guys.Richard Thomas can i put your name down as a support on the application? Can you let me know asap as i want to get the form off asap Thanks

Use to be a great toyshop on ll before it was sold and mon petit chou were born,it was a great toy shop and people use to come from miles around for it.Great idea.Having said that importing from the states may not help with the whole carbon footprint recycling initiative we are trying to encourage.so maybe look at local or uk based companies.

Spoke to a lady who can help provide info on copperatives who make cloth bag,or a local resource who makes them for hopefully a reasonable price.Southwark will hopefully financially support the scheme,and we can hopefully make a few hundred and allocate them to various locations in the Ed area

Its great to see the council are working hard in regards to recycling.I know cloth bags are not going to cure the problem but the fact is, everybody is really taking climate change seriously

Thanks councillor i will do that and hopefully things may roll.The whole idea about Ed cloth bags came from here.The postcards are proving to be very popular i see.Lots of people walking around with them On LL.I heard a couple of ladies say they were going to post them to the states.Nice 1

Kathryn im pretty sure that southwark will financially support this has they have in the past,if you are at the next wi meeting it would be great if you discussed it.I will hopefully get a reply from southwark and petition our local community council
