WE were part of the Bellenden Rd community from 92 to 2000. We had the cafe on Bellenden Rd, and back then, when the regeneration of Bellenden Rd started we saw so many different stores opening. Chaz hairdressers were the hub of the community. Nice to see the mix of shops now, and our old cafe, still doing so well.

SNUB used to use the old stables at the back of the station, for the community bike project. Glad the building is being put to good use, too many residents and not enough housing, social or private. Good luck to the squatters -
Good advice GarveyPlumbing, I would call Cowboy Builders. Not sure how the op would feel about this, however if I were conned by these cowboys, I would call the program. They need to be stopped.

Hi Allyhope, have you reported Rohan to Trading standards? If not, I highly recommend you do so. Trading standards should be able to help with your complaint, and everybody else, who have had negative dealings with them. It saddens me when I read about Cowboy builders, however good luck and hopefully you will resolve this matter soon

Spoke to the artist of the painting, Vibe is his street name, very talented, and very sweet. Vibe's eye for colour is amazing. Great addition to the lane.

LOL Mick mac Yeah I can see your point, Irish builders can lower the tone of the place :) Last Saturday was small business Saturday. Southwark Council hosted Christmas Cracker to celebrate the shop local initiative, and Christmas. I think its great the guardian highlighted a couple of shops in East Dulwich, I dare say they had lots of different communities to choose from, and they chose ours. :)

Happy to hear the garden centre site will be used for the community. What is happening to the current library site? -
Dr Stephens at the Gardens Surgery, is the only Dr I will see. She is great, kind, and always shows concern for you. I think the reception staff, are really nice, and have always been very helpful.

I enjoyed reading it, its full of ads, however there were some interesting features in there. And I did enjoy reading the interviews with the estate agents. The feature on William rose along with top tips, were very helpful -

When I am out and about, I always smile at people, and they always smile back. Smiles can lift your energy, and cheer you up. East Dulwich/Dulwich/Forest Hill communities are very friendly. Buy hey we already know that :) -
