  1. Hi All We are looking for a carer for my elderly father, it’s just for a week, whilst his companion is away. We live in Shirley Croydon. We need someone who is experienced in caring, who can help wash and dress my dad. Prepare his food, and take him out for daily walks. My dad had a stroke this year, which has incurred memory loss. My father is Italian, so ideally we would like the carer to speak either Italian or Spanish. My father also speaks English. I will confirm dates with the prospective carer, when I have received confirmation. If you are interested, please call Monica McSherry 07540499816. Thank you
  2. Hi. Monica from Healthmatters here, Just to clarify we are not anti-vaxers, I was told about this post and I needed to come on and clarify this. Whoever heard us recommending supplements over vaccinations were incorrect. Please do not spread untruths about our store and sullying our reputation. Thank you
  3. Hi the position has now been filled. Thank you for your interest.
  4. Hi We are a local independent retail store looking for part time staff, hours include weekend and weekday shifts. Experience in retail desirable, however not necessary, as training will be given. Please email your cv and covering letter to monica.mcsherry08@gmail.com Thank you
  5. Do you use the local shops? If you are happy for the CPZ to come into Nunhead, then that is your opinion, however the local businesses and the 65% of nunhead residents who do not want the CPZ would disagree. As per usual the armchair critics love to share their opinions and not take on board others???
  6. Chipotle will be moving into the Hisar site very soon, Hisar closed their doors yesterday much to the dismay of 2 ladies standing outside the closed restaurant.
  7. Hi, yes I just signed it. My friends live and work in Nunhead, its only going to get worse. I have spoken with customers who wanted the CPZ in East Dulwich and now are complaining of the hike in permit fee.
  8. The beauty salon on Upland Rd offer ear piercings. Cant remember what they are called. its more or less next door to Chi Chi vintage clothes shop.
  9. Barclays Bank are asking £95000 rent, plus £45000 rates per year. It would be great if there were an independent who could afford a £140000 a year before they even opened the doors.
  10. We had bikes left outside our place, on the pavement blocking pedestrians. They are a great idea, however the apps should guide the users on where to park the bikes.
  11. Wagamama is coming to East Dulwich on the old Barclays site. Workmen on the site confirmed this morning.
  12. If you are looking for a professional painter and decorator, I highly recommend Michael Rowe. Michael has undertaken all the essential works at my rental property, he also takes care of the maintenance of the property. Michael is a godsend. Michael 07718983437
  13. Next time im in Poundland, I will record my conversations with the staff, jeez, you are definitely a contender for something not very nice. Early contender for Didn't Happen Of The Year Award (EDF section).
  14. I popped and bought photo frames, I was chatting with a staff member who said they have received a lot of positive feedback from customers. However there were a few people who thought abusing the staff verbally was going to encourage pound land to close. There are many residents in ED, who are elderly, vulnerable and living on the poverty line, however the few inconsiderate and selfish people in this community just feel that East Dulwich is too gentrified for a pound land. To those privileged few, please wake and smell the oat flat white, or a cuppa, we are living in a cost of living crisis, where many many members of the community have to decide whether to heat or eat.
  15. Foxtons are moving to the retail unit where Jacksons were previously. , Peddar are moving to where Lilas were previously. Gails are taking over the old brick house. Poundland local will balance the high street, we cannot assume East Dulwich residents are all wealthy, we have many members of the community who are on a low fixed income, using foodbanks, and members of the ED community are elderly, who rely on their state pension to live on. We needed the balance, and whatever you may think of the pound shop local, I'm sure many of us have shopped in them, I have.
