  1. Another dramatic spike the previous May 24 - both crimes around the car park - could this be related to the massively increased numbers of people around Gala time?
  2. I took back my 🤣 because I think the idea is unworkable expensive and would produce little result. There seems to be people in the office next to the toilet but I don’t think they leave the office. I’m not sure what they do there. The toilets have been in a disgusting state for months and months with many promises to repair they are not functional and they invite vandalism. I shall try to add a couple of photos. The council doesn’t care why should we?
  3. A quick Google says that it is not undersubscribed unlike many subject schools so those claims mentioned above may not be true. Last Ofsted was good. You are definitely right about the money. This is what trusts do. Remove word ‘subject’ above Remove word ‘subject’ above I can’t edit my ridiculous errors but would like to apologise for messy post
  4. Why change it? You’ve got a fantastic historic, memorable name and you want to change it for something innocuous, meaningless and empty
  5. The Kwasi effect is being considered.
  6. Well, if Big bellies got permission that I can’t see why Londis won’t
  7. Perhaps now they can rethink the use of the lifts they actually have got, that do work and are not currently used for passengers.
  8. What would be the point of that? It may work in a USA style mall where there’s maybe a single point of entry and armed security people. But here financially, it wouldn’t work.
  9. If there is no threat of violence, et cetera, police rarely attend so fines And community service won’t happen
  10. Maybe I’ve got this wrong but didn’t the metropolitan police have a £200 minimum for investigating shoplifting because of their other priorities.
  11. This new movement seems great. great ideas. But they’re just an opposition party they’re like a subsection of the Labour Party - so perfectly suited to Corbyn - his inspirational rhetoric can only be uttered in opposition. Power would not suit him - that would require hard decisions that’s not his style, strength or skill
  12. No I meant How did you know that most drivers were women?
  13. Sex sex not blunging gender But it’s good to see now it seems they’ve got their house in order
  14. They used to be clear dates when teachers could resign from permanent positions. now isn’t one of them. Any school receiving a sudden resignation at this time of the year wouldn’t be able to advertise andappoint a permanent member of staff by September. They would probably use agency staff.
  15. If you’re in Peckham Park, there’s a little summer fair on the backfield by Straker’s Road. there are these lovely hand knitted bags and creatures and roses and lavender.

  16. I’ve read the thread, but no one on the thread has authority over the noticeboards. There must be something written somewhere spelling out the purpose of them; if they’re not serving that purpose maybe the purpose should change. I’m interested, not because I have a business which I wish to advertise, but because I’ve seen noticeboards elsewhere that have a richer more reflective feel maybe a bit like a physical manifestation of the What’s on on section of this forum but more
  17. Hmm I suppose it depends on the decision of whoever is ‘in charge’ of the noticeboards and the nbs expressed purpose.
  18. It may be that the original purpose of the noticeboards could be changed to suit the changing needs of the ‘community’
  19. Sarah King 🤞
  20. Well, I think the word obsessive is unnecessary and it does take more than one viewpoint to continue that conversation
  21. EDF is getting that Nextdoor feel
