  1. quite often shops own/rent the bit of paement in front - how else do cafes get to put their cute little tables in place
  2. and nanny tax quotes directly from the hmrc site. but if childminders can be self employed ..why not rename your nany a childminder? Or is it that a chidminder becomes a nanny if she/he's working in your home. Look i'm just interested that's all as i know teacher's can be considered self-employed if they are doing supply work.
  3. simple - move to the excellent 1 forest hill road practice - they have a ten minute limit
  4. Sincere congratulations - what an achievement! You must be walking on air.

  6. hi look, you know how 'what's on' gets cluttered with TODAYs and TOMORROWs and new info keeps swamping events with potential...well would it be possible to create a sort of calendar page so you could scroll through dates in chronological order ..like a diary ...just an idea
  7. long time now but i took wednesday off - never more than 2 days away from family - didnt miss out on bank holidays and got that TGIF feeling - worked for me
  8. what should he be doing - staying indoors with a cup of tea then?
  9. look this may be too obvious - but try ringing round your local schools now - maybe offering to come in for a visit. Don't leave it too long it all gets very busy nearer the end of term.
  10. couldn't you get another entry door for the club - used to be my local when i worked round the corner.
  11. we do know something about the squatting boys ...they havent signed on as homeless in southwark - for that they would need to prove they cannot go back to parents. Young men in that group get housing benefit - for reasons they havent made clear they dont want to do that. Its not unreasonable, therefore, to consider the possibility that parents have refused to sign the homeless chitty or indeed that the boys dont actually want that done. Being 'cool' is a huge motivator for any action by a young person. It is irrelevant whether they are lazy, unpleasant, cute, academic, industrious etc
  12. Now how about getting a cab to east croydon then catching the 6.36 direct to gatwick in 16 minutes ...gets you in at 6.51am
  13. jokerman
  14. Thanks for doing that - its not only dangerous but illegal too. I'll see if it's there tomorrow.
  15. don't like your tone and drop the x
  16. I can't believe you think your posts are convincing....there's so so many holes to pick.....maybe you're trying to convince yourself. or maybe you should just ring up mum and ask if she'll take you back. Don't con yourself mate
  17. so fair play to those knowledgable and fit enough to squat in an unoccupied house?...forget those in need who don't have those organisational skills. The last squatters i knew lived in a house owned by a housing association who rehoused those with mental health difficulties ..the squatter I spoke to smiled politely when i pointed out the paradox of the situation.
  18. well last time i looked there was a points system for getting housing - politeness didnt feature
  19. yes lets give empty property to the middle class youth
  20. but if a childminder is not on the council list does that mean she has not been inspected, had police check etc etc
  21. maybe i missed it as i rushed thru' above posts but m7post - come clean and tell us which party has got it right
  22. Thanks pgc for sharing the vision
  23. say heres an idea - clear the site, put down grass, trellis and climbers on borders maybe, a couple of trees and benches, a mini pond with frogs etc and create a lovely little restful glade [temporary of course with a sign that says ' brought to you by ....name of developers' till they are ready to build] what do you think? impossible? too expensive? Probabably half the cost of that Art Mural thang down on Northcross ..come on lets group email Mr Barber edited to say i think i got a bit over-excited
  24. well ive worked with kids with emotional, behavioural difficulties for years - no link at all with brightness - sorry folks
