  1. She sounds like a right dead motherf**ker.
  2. I experienced a horrible episode myself last night . Eastenders really has gone downhill.
  3. yes you are by the looks of it.
  4. Have Specsavers got a special offer on Rose coloured glasses at the moment?
  5. I think a few Ironymeters need resetting.
  6. Sean tell me this part of your post was tongue in cheek? If not,man people worry too much about the wrong stuff.
  7. Not tongue in cheek Sean...but then don't forget,I'm the one who has a dodgy Ironymeter...or is that metre?
  8. I agree. Muggings are an everyday occurance in London and any other major city. It doesn' make it acceptable and anyone who does get mugged has my sympathies. But Dulwich is not a rural area, and in spite of the fact that it has been populated by the middle classes over the last 10 years this only illustrates the fact that muggers will always turn their attention to where they may be able to get rich pickings with the least amount of resistance.
  9. One thing about having a fence is that it stops people dumping cars and burning them out on the Green. I've seen this kind of thing happening before in other inner city green areas without fences.

  11. Full of Pedants
  12. Hvaen't heard anything from the bloke who was getting his hair cut as at Hedanizm yesterday. I guess silence speaks louder then words.
  13. Couldn't we add a 'Criminal class' zone. It would be a shame to tar all the underclass and the wealthy with the same brush.
  14. no your quite right. Stick them in the 'wealthy' zone as well.
  15. So now there is only one zone that doesn't have it's own exclusive list and that's the underclass. How about 1.joyriding and setting cars on fire 2.drinking extremely cheap lager al fresco , though without the table and chair to sit on. More the kind of alfresco that.involves walking down the street can in hand. 4.Listening to very loud nose bleed inducing techno at all hours of the day and night 5.having a fridge in what passes as a front or back garden 6.having a washing machine in the same garden 7.putting soiled nappies down the toilet 8.Attending your court case in tracksuit trousers and a football top
  16. Tracksuit trousers worn when not doing sport would also fall into the underclass zone. Middle class zone could do with the following 1.croissants 2.natural birth 3.going abroad during the half term 4.ensuring their kids have at least one working class friend, but being especially careful that the friend is not also underclass
  17. Isn't there anything exclusively working class? The green area is empty.
  18. Well put it this way, it actually went up from ?2.50 to ?8 overnight.
  19. I don't know if there any other members out there, but I note they have just put up their prices and I didn't recieve any notification of this. I love Jags sports club, but I'm thinking of joining anew gym. I used to love bringing a friend for a game of squash but they put paid to that by charging the ridiculous fee of ?8 for any guests using the facilities.
  20. I hate people who slag London off and bang on about leaving it. Please, be our guests, the doors that way.
  21. I grew up in South London in the sixties and seventies and I have always thought there was as much violence then as there is now. In those days you used to get gangs of skins roaming the streets betting up asians. You also used to get a lot more glassing in pubs. Football violence was just kicking off and peaked around the late mid seventies to mid eighties. Every bank holiday on the coast it was mods v rockers. Lond on has always been violent ( Victorian times were even worse). In fact the word hooligan originates from the the name Hoolihan, an Irish fighting family of the Victorian era. Nowadays I reckon there is more violence in the provincial towns and town centres on a friday and saturday night. Having said that, we are an Island race and therefore have a history of repelling aggressors and invaders. It is that aggressive, warring nature that built us and empire and won two world wars. It's uncomfortable but true.
  22. Perhaps ???? is right? What did the poster who claimed to have seen teenagers who "were definitely not from East Dulwich" mean? How did he/she identify this fact? As far as I'm concerend it's not a race issue. The dad who was kicked to death recently was attacked by a group of white youths.
  23. Someone said in an earlier thread that groups of teenagers have been seen in the East Dulwich area and they definitely look like they're not from the area. How do you spot that then? Let me remind you that you live in what was once a predominantly blue collar area and it still remains so in many pockets. Are these the type of teenagers from blue collar backgrounds that you describe as not from the area? Reading through some of the other threads I always find it fascinating that people who live in London, and by that I mean ANY part of London, should be so shocked at minor crimes such as these. I know it might come as a shock to the fuzzy and cosy reality you would like to believe exists in East Dulwich, but crime is everywhere and this is London. It's always had crime so get over it.Good riddance to those who want to leave London..you are probably not Londoners anyway.
