  1. We spend months without a platform at LB with delays coming in. they close LB after NY to do engineering works and redevelop the station and we come back to worse than before. Signal failures, cancelled trains, short trains, apologies for delays and one of the most irritating excuses, the driver has not shown up (probably because he is catching one of your bulls*t trains to work!). What the hell is wrong with the signals and what the hell is congestion at London Bridge? The trains are timetabled and should be arriving on time and therefore congestion means that they are messing up rather than too many trains are turning up to LB. If I have to do one more walk from South Bermondsey to work I am going to blow a fuse and I am thinking most of my work colleagues think I am just a late riser as I am consistently late and don?t even bother apologising anymore. It is really bad and the problem is there is no accountability. You can scream at the staff or you can send an angry email which will be added to the ?pissed off commuter? pile and probably ignored but they still have the nerve to fine you if your oyster card does not beep you through properly (I am waiting for that argument one day ? I might end up sectioned). To make matters worse these trains seem to turn up ?by surprise? when you are waiting for them or disappear into thin air. You are waiting at a platform seeing that the train is coming in 5 mins, 5 mins come and go and the train is still somehow expected 5 minutes ago and then it suddenly is expected in 15 minutes time with no warning or announcement. Likewise you will be waiting on platform 15 and it suddenly gets announced that it is leaving from platform 12 with 1 minute to go causing mass panic as people scramble through the barrier obstacle course that has been set up to launch yourself into a train before it leaves and you have to play another 30 minute guessing game. Staff surely know if a train is coming or not, or likely to leave from a different platform and give you a bit of notice just to make life easier. We just stand there patiently sweating on an overcrowded, late train, inhaling the flu riddled air and staring into our phones whilst we get our daily ?apologies we are being held at a queue going into LB? from an unenthused train driver who pushes 3 buttons for a living and has become so accustomed to making the same excuse that he probably does it in his sleep. It really is ridiculous?
  2. Some ridiculous comments here from some people who clearly have nothing better to do and nit-pick and try ?put people in their place?! You do not have to be an adult in this forum (indeed she is probably more mature than people three times her age over here), 11.30 for a 13 year old to be awake and using a forum of this sort is not a problem (she is not 8 using an adult forum) and the terms Gypsy was a) used by the person who saw the culprit as a description and b) although slightly politically incorrect is not offensive as far as I know (I know of some gypsies who refer to themselves as gypsies and do not bat an eyelid at the term). It is very very different from some of the other racial slurs used against other minorities.
  3. A wheelie you say!? A WHEELIE?!? The audacity...
  4. i had little water this mornign again in Court Lane. if i dont have a shower soon people at work are going to start complaining!
  5. There was no water in Court Lane either! was concerned it was just me
  6. I was trying to look for it yesterday...it sounds strange. it seems to have been coming from one of the gardens in Court Lane but i would say that for the volume of the music and DJs, surely none of the gardens are large enough to cope with such a large party. It sounded like some sort of festival (and there sounded like there were a lot of people) but i could not see anyone coming and going unless it was maybe being held in one of the Lordship Lane Gardens!?
  7. Do not use Bob Martin! I bought some for my cat, administered it, read online reviews and promptly threw my cat into the shower and washed it off him much to his discontent. The reviews seem to indicate that people have used it on their animals and have had their cats having fits and seizures with most of them dying horribly! I have no idea whetehr these are authentic or some rival company posting loads of fake reviews but I can tell you that my friend?s cat had a seizure which was horrible and died in my arms and she had been treated with Bob Martin! I took mine to the vet on Lordship lane and got some prescription ones from there and he has been fine and flea free!

  9. get a broomstick, whack the beehive as hard as you can (so that it falls off) and run for dear life!!they cannot fly as fast as you can run! make sure you have a good escape route and leg it (no pets or kids in the way). after a few angry minutes/hours they will bugger off and leave you wasp free! Thank me later
  10. I unfortunately disagree with this street art. It is imposing itself on us due to a perceived artistic licence which is very inconsistent with planning permissions and local regulation. If I wanted to paint a graffiti on my house I would have to apply to the estate or council and most likely would be told no. However some guy is able to paint a picture of a stick man, or those awful robots that are on Court lane and this is acceptable just because the owner/council/estate perceives this to be of value? The stick men are rubbish (in my opinion) and I can do a lot better so why not just let everyone add whatever artwork they want to the front of their house? Having said that there are a few which I really like (especially the boxers on EDT roundabout) but why should a matter of taste be imposed on everyone? Unfortunately I think it is stemming from a lot of local residents feeling that they have a degree of artistic taste and wanting to demonstrate this to the neighbourhood when in reality it is just a bunch of likeminded people blowing smoke up each other?s bottoms.
  11. If they had got their dicks out for you that would just be another typical tuesday afternoon for you then!
  12. I am wondering whether the OP was the one who took a photo of me and started yelling whilst I was taking a dump next to the Plough the other day! It was very distracting as I was trying to read the Times at the time.
  13. Thank you for raising this very important issue that clearly affects a lot of Dulwich residents. I would suggest highlighting this issue to the council and stressing that it should be part of their manifesto and that we see clear action taken going forward. Not only could the use of mouthwash seriously affect the dental hygiene of Dulwich residents but any continuation of use without any formalised action could seriously affect the moral fibre of Dulwich and it?s future as an orally hygienic part of London. If the council refuses to take any action on this I suggest we organise a peaceful rally to Westminster and maybe get other concerned localities to join forces with us. If you need any assistance please let me know as I have experience campaigning serious issues (such as the deodorant spray versus Roll on campaign of the early 2000s and the Shampoo and Conditioner 2 in 1 vs separate bottles debate a couple of years ago ? both inconclusive sadly) and can make some rather fetching placards and outfits (Mouthwash bottle outfit and a toothpaste tube outfit with gladiator style pugil sticks is an immediate idea).

  15. If anyone knows who the owner is supposed to be it would be unlikely that they would be running out of money anytime soon. Don?t know if it is open knowledge or right to state who it is on this board
  16. Are you allowed to use the parents with Children parking if you do not have any kids when you park but leave Sainsbury?s with some? I do not want to get a ticket.
  17. I think it is still there but just had a refurb! same guy (as he was sitting outside a couple of days ago) and think he has just given it a bit more space inside (and light!!)
  18. Wow Donald Duck is massively innapropriate!!! I also care alot and feel concerned about those who died in the Phillipines recently but I am not going to necessarily go and visit them. Maybe in your Disneyland there is only black and white but in real life there are many degrees of concern. Hope this reaction is stress related and your friend is ok (but I am not going to visit him if that is ok with you!!)
  19. My sister saw it. A man with a ponytail walked out of Sainsbury's and got hit by a car. Head hit and smashed the windscreen and he was quite bad apparantly. This is what my sister said she saw so it sounded quite serious and hope that he is ok.
  20. An unarmed kid broke into my house and I caught him and 17 police officers turned up to take him away! Thank God i never offered them teas or coffees!
  21. One landed in the park near Sainsbury's and promptly had his mobile nicked!
  22. JimH

    Evil black cat

He?s back and now he is spraying all over my house, ripping my bins and stealing my dinner (seriously I saw him running out of my garden with a cooked chicken breast in his mouth). He has learnt to push the whole catflap out of the door and is proving to be a pain as well as the fact he sits outside wailing. I think the main issue is that he is not neutered
  23. Which estate agent is it? (as there are two there one on either side of Neros). There was not any heavy rain last night was there?
