  1. Dulwichfox is allowed to say what he wants and if he wants to say you have taken shortcuts you have to put up with it because if you react he will just go into detail about his unrelated health issues, which as sad as they are, get him off the hook. if you are wrong you are wrong and just put your hands up. Unrelated to my comments above, but because he has told us all about it, I wish you luck DF.
  2. we have found a silver tabby - hope it is this one. she is grey with a white chin and from what I can see white toes on her front feet. I can try get a picture if this sounds like her?
  3. Seriously is this thread a joke? I dont get it!?
  4. Hahah I love this forum and people getting on their high horses when they want to with no sense of irony!! I was not commenting on the fact that he was suspicious because of his dress sense. The way he dresses is valid in my comments above to highlight as it is distinctive and anyone who had seen him before would automatically recognise who I was talking about. I could not give a hoot how others dress to be honest. The suspicious part was the fact that he lingers round the Lloyds bank machine, seemingly on the phone, and appears to make a number of withdrawals within a very short space of time. This suspicion has been compounded with the fact that I have seen him stopped by undercover cops (I am pretty sure they were legit as they had badges and seemed professional enough and there was a police car in the vicinity).
  5. I was curious about a local character in the neighbourhood and have done a search on him on this forum to see if there were any comments and surprised no one has mentioned him. There is a guy with a very long wig, who hangs around the top of Lordship Lane (Plough area). He seems to wear a very long wig in a ponytail and hangs around the bank machine up there. The suspicious part is that he seems to go to the bank machine several times in a short space of time which I always find peculiar. I would be sitting outside the Plough and see him come from the Woodwarde road direction a few times to use the machine. I have seen him be jumped on by undercover police but was not sure if he was actually caught with anything. I have never had any issues with that machine and he may be innocent but I do find his behaviour peculiar. Anyone else know who this is!?
  6. This happened to me last night in Court Lane! I was slightly confused as none of my doors or windows showed signs of forced entry but everything in my glove compartment was on the floor. They did not nick much of value at all but what confused me was whilst I was tidying everything up my car, it automatically locked itself ruling out me leaving the car unlocked. They obviously knew my model of car well (Audi A3) as they opened cubby holes even I did not know existed.
  7. Several sources give the definition of Gunned as the way that the OP used it. http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/gunned http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/gunned adjective 1. a.having a gun or guns as specified: heavily gunned http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gunned gunned (??ʌnd) adj 1. (Firearms, Gunnery, Ordnance & Artillery) a. having a gun or guns as specified: heavily gunned. b. (in combination): three-gunned.
  8. ...and then you were massively concerned and went through a myriad of reactions before opening the post and finding out what the context was?
  9. Do you get "gunned" Grammar Police because if so the OP has just been a victim of police brutality!!!
  10. That is such a shame! I really like Shepherds there. It is expensive but I like the quirky mix of food
  11. cylcle in if you can. I have not caught a train since the January experiences at London Bridge and could not be happier!
  12. You might be able to find it in the countryside? Or maybe go back to the 80s. Enjoy your profit from the increased value in selling your house...
  13. stevie23b Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If you want all this gear delivered to your door > then 'be in' Thats not necessarily how it works! Standard practice is if you are not in it gets left at the Post Office for you to collect for a couple of weeks. I am not going to get a bicycle frame shipped to my office and lug it back home on the train or bus! Perfectly acceptable to "be out"
  14. My experiences have been ridiculous. My digital video camera could not fit through my letterbox and was left in my hedge. I think it was there for a couple of days in the rain before I spotted it. Also a bicycle I had bought off Gumtree was left on my doorstep. With the amount of flyers and rubbish posted through my door anyone could have just grabbed it and walked off relatively unnoticed.
  15. Did you tell her the above to her face? what is the purpose of this post?
  16. A few weeks ago I was walking past and a guy who was with a group of others asked me if I want to buy some weed. They were sitting on the climbing frame thingy in the playground and they had a few beers with them. I politely declined.
  17. I am not 100% sold on the graffiti in Dulwich at the moment (and I consider myself a fairly arty person). I love the Victorian boxers near Goose green and a couple of the ones just off Barry Road but I was never keen on this bee/wasp graffiti or a few of the others (especially stickmen and robots on Court Lane). The issue is that art is very subjective and I am not sure why we should be subject to these, just because they may have a name in certain circles in the art world. Why can?t I just create my own bit of graffiti on the front of my house? I can?t even change the styles of my windows without the Estate having a whinge and I would be pretty confident I can beat the stick men in terms of art.

I don't know what twit thought that. > They are to warn blind people that they have > arrived at a crossing. Good grief. What? Where did you get that from?!? They do not warn blind people about crossings by raising the crossing!! They are informal crossings which are there to alert drivers to frequent crossings of pedestrians.
  19. Jeremy I agree with you 100% Seriously Blah Blah this is a post about an injured fox in Dulwich so you might want to put your point across in a different forum Try: http://vegtalk.org/animal-rights/ http://www.animalconcerns.org/
  20. I think if most of us knew that we were living with a rapist or a paedo we would probably do something about it. If i promise to report any rapist or paedo to the police then am i allowed to get rid of a rat in my house?
  21. If you want to take part, take part. If you do not, do not. Let people be!! Bloody hell you guys?.you somehow fail to realise that others have different interests/personalities/beliefs and priorities to you! I would not take part in it either to be honest but I at least recognise that there are people who would be interested and see it as an interesting social experiment or allow them to get on the TV or have their own reasons for taking part, so fair enough for asking the question.

Just because something is labelled as a ?local? or an ?express? does not necessarily mean that a) it is local to people who shop there or b) you cannot do larger shopping trips there. Maybe more limited shopping trips but you could easily get enough groceries to warrant a car drive. Add to that the need to nip to a shop for a last minute ingredient half way through cooking something, inclement weather, kids, living halfway down Crystal Palace road etc then you can see quite a few reasons why people might drive to A Sainsbury?s local.

My similar query is why run one of the peak trains to South Bermondsey and not to LB in the morning. No offence to anyone from South Bermondsey but who the hell travels there at that that in the morning if at all (unless there are any Millwall supporters out there).
  24. but see that is part of the problem. I am sure it is not easy moving signals, platforms and sequencing around but surely they have some sort of plan as to how it work going forward. It almost sounds that they move things around and then decide to figure out how it will work once it is actually up and running.
