  1. The guidance is to allow 6 months and 1 week to pass before you have your booster (third vaccine). You can go online to book your booster dose at the following NHS webpage https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/book-or-manage-a-booster-dose-of-the-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine/
  2. Countrlass22: Similar situation to you, I also had the bin man yesterday reading me the riot act about how I had to subscribe or loose the bin. I told him it was a cheek imposing this policy which is against the government recommendations nd I rather loose the bin than play their scare tactic games. How Southwark council are imposing this with no thought of the long term consiqence to the service only for the point of making money becaue they have sold all their land to private investors with no long term revenue, and by failing to maintain their housing properties they are facing high compensation legal battles from thousands of residents. He repeatedly defended their decision but as I reminded him, this is the people at the top bringing this in yet its the guys on the front line who have to suffer the fall out effects. His defending example was that Thames Water done the same to all Southwark residents but as I said, water is a service each of us cannot live without. Which bin to put your garden waste in to on the other hand..... This is the most stupid idea they have come up with so far. What really do they think will happen? People will not pay and will bag all their garden waste and chucj ibn the green bin. Recycling rates will drop for the Borough. Over time they will have no choice but to reverse this decision. Another stupid money making scheme just like the controlled parking which is still ongoing!
  3. I misplaced my daughters stripy blanket on Tuesday 1 August during a trip to Peckham and returning to Dulwich. Please, if you have seen or have this stripy blanket please get in contact with me. It is a John Lewis blanket with repeated stripes of red, blue, yellow and green colours, framed in a red border. Thank you. X
  4. Hello Momlife, I logged on here today for exactly tha same reason! Yes we are very interested in finding a play date. I will also private message you.
  5. Hi, We found a set of keys on the green near to the cafe in peckham rye park today (Thursday 20/07/2016). They have a scrabble key ring attached. If these are yours, let me know. Ta...Dame Dulwich

So take care who you wind > up ;) Well done. At least a few of us on here understand what was the initial intention of dmac_1000. Dmac...you done the right thing. I just wish there were more of us in society who actually took an interest in our surroundings and attempt to target the antisocial behaviour displayed by the trash!!
  7. I also received this letter and had to send in a clear copy of my passport. Today Southwark have emailed me to confirm they have `added me` to the list... Amusing as i have been in this house for approx five years and voted during this time. I was asked to confirm online and I know this is where the error occurred as afterwards I would receive two of every letter related to this. Result: Dodgy gov.UK website!! 8. Thank you for highlighting this Lilly123. Very interesting, and important to know xx
  9. Seek advice from a solicitor and inform Southwark you are taking legal action due to their shoddy works. You'll be amazed just how quickly they'll reply and remedy. Maybe you should all get together using this forum or maybe more effectively, a leaflet in residents doors system so all unsatisfied residents in the blocks group together for mass compensation. Arrange to meet in a community hall to discuss. Group force will definitely get you the works you expect.
  10. I am a first time mum to a eight month old. Very interested in meeting up if still open x
  11. mynamehere Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are they driving down the street with a metal > detector in the van? Na - not quite that sophisticated. They just enter your front yard and root through all your stuff. Sure if they came across a metal detector they would not use it but shop it in!
  12. I also spotted these today in Streatham. Religious reason possibly???
  13. This theft of metal is going mad at the moment. This is happened to us on several occassions. We live off Lordship Lane and have left metal articles in our front shed, to come home and find the shed has been raided!! Now we cannot leave any of these things out the front, even though they are out of sight to passers by. This shows the offenders actually trespassed onto our property, raided our secluded shed and scavaged for anything to buy a bacon butty!! Be warned people. This is what is happening whilst you are at work!
  14. Ha ha! You make me laugh.
  15. People who do not realise what their voice is for. At the time you are upset by something or someone, remeber you can voice this in a calm way!
  16. Beware. Such agressive behaviour could be a sign of rabies. Yep, cats can get it too!
  17. Bringing in a speed limit is now taking it to far. They have introduced extra crossings, extra speed humps and limited the amount of parking on the high street. All ofthis has resulted in a high level of traffic and pollution for our high street. The council need to address the real problem, that is maniac drivers cutting through the residential roads - the roads which have our neighbourhood children playing on them. The high street, should remain the high street!
  18. NessD Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We took ours down after a month ourselves and > dropped it off outside the estate agents door one > evening. Well done NessD! The house next to ours has had their 'Let By...' sign up for about 6 months now and I find it really irritating! Might follow you lead!
  19. I think this is a wonderful idea. Not simply for the benefit in getting a good deal, but more for the friendships it may form of those living in Dulwich. Although ED is a nice area to live in, I find it lacking in free, friendly communication.
  20. p.s - Its DTaP ;-)
  21. Interesting post 'Civilservant'. Wonder what Department you work for??? lol!
  22. The duster guy was the fellow who visited my yesterday from the 'Organisation for Homeless and Jobless People' (see related post). I noticed suspicious behaviour a few months back so got my phone out and started taking photos. Nothing happened from it on my street, but with today?s technology, I urge everyone else to do the same. Work together for the greater good. This is getting worryingly common in ED. A few weeks ago, police visited our house as a neighbour had been broken into. A few weeks before this, a neighbours van had been stolen along with all the tools inside it!! Very worrying.
  23. Unfortunately, we now live in a society where people are too scared to talk to one another, let alone confront them ? apart from me that is! I am known for making my feelings very clear to those on the street, when dropping rubbish or gum etc. I urge everyone reading this article to do the same. Until we break down this fear of speaking out, we will all have to suffer.
  24. I purchased from these people last night. Although the items were overpriced I thought I would choose something that may be of use to me, so I would be assured I was getting something I would use and help a local cause at the same time. Later that night, I was thinking about the name. 'Organisation'. Not a charity, or society, but and 'organisation' I should have realised earlier. With regard to the comments above, if it is something you need then yes, it is not so bad. However, to find these people are being deceitful with a fake PO Box number, and claiming to be working for such an important cause, this is what I find most upsetting. It also has a great effect on future, genuine charity groups collecting in the area. Mentioning here, to bring to all members attention that this bogus organisation is back in your area. If you want it, visit the local pound shop and give the extra to the Shelter group.
  25. I will not give to beggers. These people are not homeless. They are not starving. They have just seen the area as an opportunity. Giving money encourages other opportunists to the area, which is not good. I feel uneasy walking down the road with people begging. You want to make a difference? Visit the shelter or homeless uk websites and see what support and volunteering work you can take part in. A pound her will result in a bottle of strong bow or a fag! Not a meal. Go to the centre of london at night. See what a real homeless person looks like. You will soon see the difference. One the way home yesterday, I saw a male begger standing next to the cash point beside Co-op. Imagine that is you, alone, taking money out. How intimidated would you feel? If they were not being given money they would not be here - simple as. East Dulwich is going down. Will you help keep it afloat or support its desent?
