Lehmann back to Arsenal!?
-
Hmmm. I'm either an arsehole (Keef) or venerable. I'll take Atila's compliment over Keef's. And to think how he reacted to being called xenophobic....::o
-
So, Carragher is technically challenged? And if it had been a Scholes tackle it would have been a different story. Matt, are you just back on here for a wind up? Liverpool hadn't done anything for most of the season and we hadn't been blessed with your company. A couple of wins and you're Jack the Lad again. ;)
-
I'm sure that'll help difuse the situation....
-
I couldn't be bothered getting involved in the Nani thing. Goners taking the moral high ground was making me feel a bit ill and you aren't going to get any sympathy from the Scousers.
-
And at least in this game Arsenal had a shot on target....:)
-
He seems to pop up and score important goals recently though. I've actually grown to have a lot more respect for him recently. After the pink boots/I'm the greatest guff last season I thought he'd settled down a bit. Still not an Arsenal favourite then?

It was a footballing lesson. Great stuff from Barca, it's hard to see past them.
-
I was going to say the same thing. You'd be amazed what they will do for you at the Genius bar. I took my comp in the other day with a backlight problem and they repaired it for ?25 and replaced the case and keyboard for free. a colleague had an iPhone problem and got a replacement for ?40.
-
It's not out of the question Jah. I was going to add Spurs to my list of possibles to defeat Barca but I didn't want to get into a whole debate about their league form, which is a a bit up and down, I'm sure you'll admit.
-
Would it be an upset? I know Barca are a great side but on their day any of Arsenal, Chelsea and United should be able to give them a good game.
-
So, I think Arsenal will be alright tonight. I've got a feeling they'll get at least a draw if not a famous victory. Could be on for the treble the way things are going.

Well, having just seen it I take it back that challenge was nothing like the Carragher tackle. Lucas got a bnasty little kick in there just before as well. Also, in both incidents Liverpool players are doing all they can to goad United players. After the Carragher tackle Kuyt is screaming abuse at Nani on the floor (something Keane was vilified for) and Raphael has his hair pulled (girly I know but obviously meant to be a wind-up). Still, onwards.
-
I haven't yet seen the Raphael challenge but I'll have a look. I'm sure you are all right. Fergie didn't talk to anyone all week after the charge after the Chelsea game. He's on one of his petulant tips.
-
Out of interest Anna, which United player should have been off? Fergie will probably get fined but who cares? Apparently none of the media organisations have complained about his refusal to give interviews at any time in the past.
-
I've only just seen the tackle as I was in and out the kitchen as we had visitors. Absolutely disgusting. Carragher should have been off and Kuyt's response was pretty bad too. I think Declan is right, outrage and adrenaline got Nani up off the floor to show the ref his injury. Watching the last few games United have had he's had lumps kicked out of him so I'm not surprised at his reaction. I don't mind string tackles (I'm not a Gooner;)) but as a player it must be wearing.
-
Yeah, great stuff from Liverpool. Some great performances and they really seem to be on the up with the new manager. I think United have now lost enough of their momentum for Arsenal to take the league this season. Especially with the two run-ins.
-
Welcome back Matthew. When are you off again? :))
-
Who's on your list LG? I guess if I don't get an answer I'll know I am!:))

I think what I object to is the fact that EC/Atila can't let a United game go by without attacking one or other of the team or the manager for cheating/diving/offending his sensibilities in some way or other. There is rarely a balanced analysis of the game from him or the possibility of a debate. There's no balance. There's no acceptance that maybe this is a game and other teams, including his own, might bend or break the rules or might have decisions go for them that shouldn't have. The same old insinuations get trotted out time after time, we had too much time added on, no one gets a penalty awarded against United, the referee is biased towards united, the commentators and media are biased towards United. It's tired and tiring (hence the yawn). Have a debate, make sensible comments about the team and the performance but why always bring it back to the fact that we are favoured or that so and so should have had a red card etc. etc.
-
Come on Anna. You know that's not true! His posts are constantly derogatory, insulting and inflammatory. The 'debate' get's lost in the name calling and sniping. He's been banned on several occasions which can't be coincidence.

Agree about the midfield. Carrick needs to pull his socks up or he'll be out in the summer, some of his passing was terrible. I'm not sure we'll drop a lot more points but games at Liverpool and Arsenal and the home game against Chelsea are not going to be easy.
