  1. So, I've been on my hols. What's been happening?
  2. Matt, I take it there's no news about your own club? I guess no one can tell what Kenny is saying so it's difficult for him to offend people. ;)

So your star boy Mario didn't make it to the bus tour, Tevez is on his way back to Argentina, not much to celebrate for you boys. Our season's not over yet, we can start celebrating Sunday morning whatever the result. I've heard nothing but derision from fans and media alike about the bizarre celebrations that your 'supporters' do these days. It's a bit ridiculous. Matt, nice try. All I have to say to you is 19....
  4. The playoff semi last night at Huddersfield was epic. What a game!
  5. Hmm, and the Gooners. And BR was VERY quiet until this weekend and now he's trotting out the same old dross....
  6. How did they get away with this? Anfield Road End during YNWA: Nice!
  7. 19. That is all. :))
  8. I have the Charlton prog recorded (I did watch a bit of it but it was on a bit late) and I have just watched the Munich drama 'United' which I thought was really well done.
  9. Ah BR, living up to the 'bitter blue' title I see. What a wonderful day, but it's not over yet. Stranger things have happened. Stoke are looking on good form though aren't they....;-)
  10. You don't need an induction for the road bike sessions on Tuesday evenings. You can just ride on your geared bike. I can't remember how much it is but only a few quid.
  11. There's a story arc, usually one in an episode and several over a series. Yes it's a bit more sophisticated than your average sitcom but that's part of the joy. Forgive us for intellectualising (sp?!) comedy or should we have a Pol Pot style attitude towards it? ;-)
  12. What have you watched so far Bob? I would say don't judge it on the pilot or first few episodes give it a bit of time and it'll eat away at your funny bone. You'll be crying by the final episodes. Nancy Sinatra is supposed to have missed the passing of her father as she was away from his bedside watching the final episode.
  13. Can I just add: She wore, she wore, she wore a scarlet ribbon; she wore a scarlet ribbon in the merry month of May; and when I asked her why she wore that ribbon; she said "it's for United and we're going to Wembley..."
  14. Barca and Real still have a lot to learn. Ouch!
  15. A third European final in four years.....can't be bad!
  16. Bugger. Not exactly a title winning run in from United so far. As for BR's banter. 35 years and counting.
  17. United were superb last night. I just wish we'd played like that all season. Having Valencia back and in such good form is like having a new signing.
  18. Charlotte, myself and my friend Neil watch many of the United games at the Marquis of Granby in New Cross. It's not very glamorous but they are friendly and there's usually a good mixture of supporters in there. I watched the 2008 Champions League final in there and even the Millwall boys were supporting us....can't think why?
  19. Charlotte, I like you. Come over to the Football Focus thread.
  20. Can't help but laugh at Real Madrid dropping the Copa del Rey trophy under the wheels of their open-topped bus. Whoops!
  21. COYS!!
  22. BR, you asked about the clearout at United. What are your thoughts on this and City signings/leavings? P.S. I trust you'll all be tuned in to BBC2 on Sunday for the Munich drama.

  24. Not at this rate Anna. Still, we've had plenty in the last 35 years....:))
  25. Hmmm, I'm expecting a big clear out over the summer. Scholes, VdS obviously. Hargreaves finally given the elbow (it's a shame but it has to happen). Owen out. Not sure about Rio, he's been looking increasingly injury prone but I think he'll still be there. Giggs had a similar period with problems with his hamstring that looked like it might be the end of his United career but I guess the medical team sorted that for him. I think a summer of rest will do the world of good for Ferdinand. I also wouldn't be suprised if there was a few suprises...Rooney maybe for the right deal? Berbatov could go. What are your thoughts? More importantly what's the City side going to look like!? I'm guessing Tevez is almost a done deal.
