  1. Another Dunstans roader here but at the lordship lane end. It really takes no time at all to get to the main drag on foot. We have a baby now but we lived here for 2 years as just a couple and really enjoyed all the pubs and restaurants. Most of us are all very friendly on dunstans. My neighbours are great. I moved here from north London and have never looked back.
  2. You are allowed to push buggies around John Lewis Oxford Street (4th or 5th floor?) They give you a fake baby to use.
  3. Possibly. She said it was two white males speaking a language that was possibly eastern European.
  4. I live on Dunstans Rd (near Goodrich junction) and yesterday my mum, who is visiting, said she was slightly suspicious of 2 men in a silver car (old saloon type). I actually said at the time oh I'm sure it's fine and brushed her off a bit!
  5. For non-facebookers: Tea/Cake/Lunch or whatever at Caf? Aneto SE22 9AX Wednesday 16th 2pm. Bumps and Babes welcome. Nic
  6. http://www.pebbleuk.com/shop/products.asp?cid=4&pid=5 I have a job where I am standing most of the day so I invested in 3 pairs of these solidea 140 denier compression tights. Absolute godsend. Have lasted well too. Pretty much in constant use from 16 weeks. Now 37 and still going strong.
  7. Depends who is teaching it... I found it more helpful than my nct session on it. Lots of time for questions.
  8. Hello, Just posted new event on Facebook: Wednesday 2nd October. 2pm. Melange Chocolate, Bellenden Rd SE15 4BW. Of course new babies are welcome!! Nic x

  10. Hello, I am sure this has been done time and time again on the forum, but I would like to have some advice on reusables v disposables. I contacted the Nappy Lady and did her survey, she recommended Bambinex Teddy Nappies as I do not have a tumble drier and they are quick drying. I live in a small flat and don't have a car, so if I buy disposables I need to bulk buy with delivery to make them cost effective - therefore they take up loads of room. Those using disposables: does your bin stink after 2 weeks - I share my green bin with upstairs neighbour and it is often full by the time collection day comes. Those using reusables: Does the nappy bin keep in smells? Should I attempt this without a drier? HAve you saved money or does the cost of washing make it the same? Is the only reason you use them for environmental reasons? What do you do when you are out and about? Did you use them from new born or is it best to wait until they are a certain weight? Many thanks in advance for your time. All advice greatly appreciated.

  15. Yes, could be very busy, especially if it's nice weather again. I can come Sunday.
  16. Yeah. They are aggressive. When I said I wasn't interested chap suggested that I didn't care about my family's safety. With that I just shut the door in his face.
  17. We went to Ithaca in October - it was empty! I am told it's a bit busier in August, but at least all the good restaurants were open then... our only option was goat stew. It is a really lovely island and we had such a relaxing time. The rocky beaches will always be less busy, so bring a strong pair of flip flops. I really recommend doing the walking tour of Odysseus Palace. You need to like cats though... they are everywhere!
  18. Our service has been rubbish for 2 weeks now. Broadband works for ten mins then cuts out... we are on dunstans rd.
