I gave birth to my son at Kings in April. It was a water birth and everything went exactly to plan. The midwives were great and the room with the big birthing pool was comfortable. We were able to stay on the labour ward in the same room until I went home (12 hours after arriving at the hospital). Once I'd had my son the midwives helped with breastfeeding and then left me and my new family in peace to get to know each other and get some rest. I arrived at the ward at 7am - not an ideal time as the midwives have a shift change at this time so I was moved around a few times until allocated a room and midwife but this is the only negative and I think is to be expected on a busy labour ward.

No, I asked the person on reception - who may not be completely up to date with the progress or lack of.

I popped in and asked on Tuesday and they think the pool won't open until August.

I wouldn't gloat too much nutty - the team you beat last week has won the quiz several times before so we'll be there tomorrow with reinforcements (ie a fourth person!) in a bid to win back our crown.

Just wanted to add our story to the growing list - we were burgled on 6th December. We live on Colpeston Road. Similar thing by the sound of it - smashed a very solid wooden door up with a hammer / crow bar at some point in the evening. Took the new TV, digital camera, laptop and external hard drive etc. I also just wanted to spread the word about LockSure Security. We found them in the yellow pages and they sent someone round within half an hour of us calling. The guy, Martin, did a brilliant job and we cannot fault them in any way. Their number is 0800 35 79 999 but I sincerely hope that no one reading this has to call them in an emergency. Definitely worth getting them round to sort out some extra locks etc though.
