It is a shame Admin because this is the most interesting and stimulating topic that has been on this forum for months. If you want this to be a sterile and 'nice' environment just carry on deleting anything remotely edgy and controversial. For the record I think Sue sounds very demanding, fickle and unreasonable. I believe DJKQ.

It is a shame that admin feel the need to delete threads, such as the recent anti-semitism and DJKQ v Sue thread. I know these were controversial subjects but lets face it we all enjoyed the cringe worthy ding-dong between these malcontent women. Cowboy builders and their hapless victims are a modern scourge of society yet I likened their spat to something from the Jeremy Kyle show: humiliating, embarassing but addictively entertaining.
  3. I accept people should have the right to out a cowboy builder on this forum, and it certainly seems DJKQ can bodge, corner- cut and rip-off with the best of them. But I find it disturbing that there was such a pack mentality who were so quick to pounce on her as soon as Sue set the ball rolling with her undisguised and bitter condemnation of DJKQ. I know this must have been a hugely traumatic experience for Sue, especially if she feels she has been targeted by the type of rogue cowboy builder who preys on vulnerable pensioners like herself. But that doesn't excuse the public lambasting meted out by other forum users as soon as they saw a chance to stick the boot in.
  4. I have found the recent thread and the continuation of the DJKQ issue in the about this forum section very unsettling. I am sure Sue has her reasons for lambasting DJKQ but a public forum is not the place to do this and I find it very disturbing how quickly other forum users have rounded on and pilloried DJKQ. There are many issues in modern society crying out to be addressed on a forum such as this. Taking 6 hours to put a hinge on a door is not one of them.
  5. For the last couple of months or so there has been a scraggy long haired scruffy looking woman hanging around outside the houses just before the flats, Lordship Lane end. She appears to be loitering around and peering into the windows. Does anyone know who she is? She doesnt look right. My neighbours are going to call the police next time.
  6. The dogs are not in distress. They enjoy barking at cats and foxes in the garden. The original poster 'russia' said they were yapping for several hours every evening and then said 3 hours at a time. This is absolutely untrue and a complete lie.

Why should they? Just because parents put kids to bed early doesnt mean everyone else has to stop still and shut up. If you expect that, move somewhere remote.
  8. Hi I know the owners of the dogs. Dont be concerned for the dogs! They are not in distress. The dogs are just fine. They enjoy yapping at cats and foxes for an hour in the evening. I know the owners always have them in by 8pm, so as not to keep children awake. I will pass on your kind concern though :)Paul
