Have you tried making porridge in a slow cooker? It's usually trial and error but the longer to cook steel cut oats are better. Try Alfords. I have a small slow cooker I use overnight. Can add fruit etc. There are some suggestions on the internet. If you make it in a slow cooker then you could keep in fridge and then reheat during the week in microwave. You can also use your slow cooker as a bain marie. Put smaller bowl inside with oats - ratio is usually 4 cups water to 1 cup steel cut oats. If you google crockpot oatmeal you will find many recommendations. Otherwise I prefer to make it on hob. I recommend Flahavans (Irish) which is available at the Irish Shop on LL. Can add dried fruit like cranberries or cherries. Or sliced apples and cinnamon. One site:- http://www.frugalupstate.com/recipes/recipe-overnight-crock-pot-oatmeal/

Have posted this in the Lounge as well but know that not everyone goes there. Has anyone on here had any treatment/experience with Mr. Whitehead (Consultant) at Kings? Apparently he is no longer there. Would be grateful if anyone with any experience could contact me by PM please.

If by it you mean the jams, jellies and chutneys, then yes, I have and so have many others. Hopefully the creator will see this posting.

Locally made and sourced jams, chutneys and jellies made by SE22 woman and sold inside Franklins Farm Shop. She also sometimes sells outside Roullier White.

I make something similar in burger form and cook in a pan. Or could do meatballs. I put cumin, chopped mint, salt, pepper, harissa and feta cheese. Also serve in warmed pita. Can add dollops of hummus on top of burger. Or not.

Surely it doesn't take the same person over 2 hrs. and 45 minutes to close the gates?

The closing time stated on the Court Lane entrance is 5 pm. At ten past the gates were still open so who knows when it really closes.

Thanks. Wonder when the time changed as it is still winter! Does anyone know the exact closing time?

Does anyone know if the park is open later than 4.30 today?

Southwark are the freeholders, so they own the land. I would sue them for any loss you suffered. -
Has happened to me. No longer leave anything outside I am worried about. I regularly find flowerpots all over the lawn in the morning now.

Sounds like they have a very antiquated phone system. They should have a queuing system where you are told what position you are in. Even Melbourne Grove has this type.

Someone who has a business in Camberwell told me he pays ?600 per car in order to park in two streets nearby. Could something done for residents on streets like Zenoria, Tintagel and Derwent? Something like forcing people like John Alan Flowers, and estate agents, like Foxtons, who have numerous or large vehicles, to pay for parking their vehicles over the amount of say two, for example, without imposing the whole CPZ thing on residents. Perhaps Southwark will now start to counsult on the streets off Northcross Road like Nutfield and Archdale who no doubt suffer badly from parking problems, in the main I would guess from estate agents. As has already been mentioned, Goose Green School, GM Hairdressers and other businesses in the Grove Vale area no doubt contribute to perceived parking problems. -
Using an approved mortice lock is a condition of your house insurance. They won't pay out if you don't.
