Hi, I have various pieces of furniture (bedside tables, dressing table, bookshelves etc), plates, saucepans, cushions, towels, bed linen, blankets etc which I no longer need but are all in good condition. Does anyone know of any local charities which might be able to make use of these types of items? Thanks

I freelance and have been lucky enough to find a great childminder who lets me pick the days I work each week - we have a contract for 2 days a week but they can be any day of the week. I'm lucky that she doesn't work to full capacity so has space to flex. Worth talking to a few childminders to see if you can find a similar arrangement, as it's been great having continuity for my son rather than a different person from an agency each week.

Aria and his brother came round quickly and were able to fix my broken tap and toilet. They were very helpful and polite, and were honest about things that they can't do (sealant in this case) which is a nice change! I will definitely use them again.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else had noticed the mess that has become of Holly Grove where it turns into Bellenden Road, outside Ganapati? Following the recent consultation I know it was decided not to change the one-way system but they have been widening the pavements and although that looks quite good, they have been finished terribly with the paved slabs having horrible lumps of Tarmac at the end - hard to describe but it looks a total mess! Also there are no road markings so there are now always cars parked on the now narrower road which seems to cause issues when the two lanes of traffic come round the corner into Holly Grove. I'm hoping it is still a work in progress and will be properly finished but it's been like this for weeks now with no change - anyone else spotted this or know what is happening? Thanks

Hi all, Great to see so many other babies due in Dec/Jan! I'm expecting my first on Dec 23rd and very excited if a little apprehensive! My husband and I live on Shenley Road in Peckham/Camberwell so looks like there will be two new babies on the street soon Christie! We are booked in to do the NCT class that starts on 1st November - is anyone else doing that one? Would be great to meet up with you all and meet some friendly faces (and bumps!) - we'll try to make it to the Plough on 20th. Olivia x

Another recommendation for Brad and his team! This was the second job they've done for us, this time painting all hallways, lounge, dining room and loft, and they did a great job. I like how you can choose full prep or minimum prep, and whichever finish you choose, they do a great job and have excellent attention to detail. Really nice and trustworthy guys too.
