Hello, Has anyone got children starting at Deptford Green school in year 7 in September who live in Peckham Rye/East Dulwich? I?d also love to hear any feedback from parents who have children there in other years please. Our daughter was allocated DG and although it wasn?t our first choice I?ve heard some lovely things about it. The results do worry me a bit though. No one from her school is going too so it would be lovely to know there might be others making the journey from our way. I really appreciate any comments!

Holiday club starting July 24th
gingellico replied to Holiday Champs's topic in The Family Room Discussion
As a parent with children at Goose Green and who've been to the JAGs holiday camp I'd strongly recommend Aaron as a sports leader nd I'm really excited about this club. His enthusiasm is brilliant, he's got great organisational skills and most importantly my kids adore him! -

Face painter for kids party?? Recommendations pls
gingellico replied to byngo's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I have to agree with the earlier posts about Sue- she came to my daughter's 4th birthday this weekend and was fantastic. It was outside in not great weather but she just came and set up with her own table and chairs and worked really hard. The children adored their faces (my little girl refused to wash hers that night) and she was really reasonable compared to other people. I'll definitely book her again. Her email address is [email protected] -
Hello, my little girls 4th birthday is in May and trying to decide what to do. Up to now we've had lovely parties at home with up to about 15 little ones but now with the addition of her little brother and all the siblings and nursery friends we need to find somewhere out. Anyone had a really good party for theirs? Was thinking about doing it in a park but you can never guarantee the weather. Or the scout hut on bellenden road, anyone been? also thinking will need some form of entertainment maybe but cheapish! Thanks for any advice!

thanks, good thinking... -
Hello, I have a Phil and Teds Vibe and it broke yesterday- literally the frame has snapped away at the joint. It is typically out of guarantee but thinking it maybe able to be welded. Been to the welders by Peckham Rye and a couple of car garages but apparently I need an aluminium welder. Anyone know of one or anyone who might be able to fix it? Please!

Anna- sorry to hear Ava's been poorly- hope all better now. Cheeky chimps is at that centre next to jags ?3.50- just a room full of toys, tents, books, playdoh, etc... Really nothing special but struggle to find things to do on a rainy thurs morning and it's an enclosed space where u can feed little one but keep ur eye on bigger one. Let me know if ur going, might wait and see what weathers like. Lx

hello everyone, Congratulations millymoo and caroline and welcome little isabella and hamish! Looking forward to meeting you. Also congratulations nabz and welcome safiyya- definitely up for a meet and a moan/ compare sleep deprivation- you may prefer toddler free days though on a monday morning or tuesday! Meanwhile love to meet up tomorrow ruth- no plans at all tomorrow- eek! feel for you with the nap battle- fingers crossed it's a one off... This weather is really crappy, bring on summer and picnics- do you know any good cafe's with play areas? only thing i can think of is peckham soft play but bit hectic maybe and can just see me having to rescue lola half way up with finn in the bjorn! Might go to that cheeky chimps in the morning as went last week but i know you're toddler free in the morning. Laura x

Hello, Does anyone fancy a meet up on Thursday at some point? Either morning or afternoon, we don't have any plans yet. Love to host toddler tea but might have to wait a wee bit as not functioning brilliantly on little sleep. For some reason my toddler seems to have started waking almost more than Finn, but never at the same time mind! Could always park it and cafe it if anyone fancies? Laura x

Hello everyone, just to let u know that our little boy, Finlay (Finn), finally arrived on Thursday. All happened very quickly in the end- contractions started lunchtime although not bad as squeezed a trip to Sainsburys in! Went in at 8.30, had him at 10.30 and home in bed by 3.30! Felt so lucky as had jemima, one of the lanes midwives who was just amazing. Little bit sore as he was 8lb15 and came out with his little hand up like superman but completely loving every minute with him. Hope we'll be up for him meeting some of the other little ones Monday morning if anyone's up for it. Laura xx

Congratulations to more new (and second) mums, lovely to hear that alls ok with your little ones in partic elli, sounds very frightening. I had my consultants apt and after huge indecisiveness going to try going naturally again with this one, keeping fingers really tightly crossed that they aren't miles out with the size prediction, an 8lber would be amazing, espec if it's in a good position, much more do-able than a 9lb8oz op one. Thinking of u all with ur new little ones, it does get so much easier- I never thought it would with my little girl- sleep deprivation is a complete killer but it really, really does. Saying that no idea how I'm going to manage with two! Laura
