  1. Hi, I’m thinking about removing the ceiling in our third floor room that’s at the back of a trad Victoria terrace, and installing a velux window. It has a very low ceiling, and the loft space over it is very small - about 3ft at the highest. What tradesperson(s) might I need for the job? We’ll also have to rewire for spot lights, build in new carpentry, fit the window and I assume insulate. Will a structural engineer be needed? I suspect leaving the ceiling joists in place would be the simplest option? Any advice would be appreciated or any recommendations for a trady that could do the job!
  2. We just had Brad back in to redo the exterior of our house, and bathrooms, after he did such a good job ten years ago. Same excellent attention to detail, pleasant and professional manner! Always a pleasure to have around. Thank you Brad!

    Conley & Co

DONT TRUST. Anna & Chris previously traded under Conley & Co, which had now gone into administration leaving customers such as us without any recourse to compensation for the work they have failed to complete, or have done badly. They have set up a new company under the name Anna Richmond Designs. We have underfloor heating that when turned on trips all the electrics in our house; other areas where it doesn’t work at all. Paint work was done shoddily, one coat in many places; kitchen installation rushed so that it’s all wonky, kickboards not fixed in, back doors installed upside down and draughty, kitchen doors and appliances scratched… the list literally goes on. Worst is the failure to complete Building control, FENSA and electrical safety certificates, which puts our family at risk and will make it difficult to sell. We have Anna and Chris three years to put things right, but they took our money and ignored us.
  4. Found this weekend (13/14 October) on the big grassy patch in front of the cafe. DM for further info.
  5. Another recommendation for Saied! Saied came round to get our garden ready for the warmer months by securing some broken and rotten decking, tidying the front and back gardens and adding some new planting. It looks great! This is the second time we've used Saied and we wouldn't hesitate to use his services again. He's a lovely chap and does a great job. Sally
  6. A bit of a late comer here! Also expecting my second, due end of Nov so a bit on the cusp (seems there are lots of dec/jan babies in this group so seemed a better fit!). My son is just over two and we are in east Dulwich. We met some lovely ladies through the summer babies 2014 group (Balbina & Debbie!) and looking forward to meeting new mums with no.2! Donatella - I've asked to join the fb group today but thought I should follow up here so you know I'm not some random ;) Hope we get to meet some of you soon, Sally
  7. Another recommendation for Brad - really pleasant to deal with and did a fantastic job prepping and painting two rooms and the front of our house. Will definitely be using Brad again in the future. He was flexible and accommodating in terms of timings and working around electrical works, going on at the same time.
  8. After a summer of neglect, Saied managed to turn our garden into a little oasis in just one day! He did a fantastic job of tidying up the garden, giving lots of advice on the way. Great friendly manner and extremely helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be using Saied again.
