  1. I disagree entirely that there is no need for another primary school. Those above, such as @Dulwichborn&bred should go to www.findaschool.info and understand the anxiety that the tiny catchment areas are causing us up at the top of Underhill Road. Based on the accurate results of this website, us lucky people who live in a beautiful area have had our luck shot down as our property has never been in an area where it is close enough to a schoool With the birth rate in SE22 rising, the clamour for school places is only going to get worse, so revisit your comment and understand that the borderline area next to Lewisham and along Dulwich Common certainly needs another school.
  2. I have heard a rumour that there is a push to change the planning for the Grove from a licensed venue/hotel to a school. Given the fact SE22/21 are drastically short of primary school places, would this not be a better use for this site, given that Lordship Lane and Forest Hill have quite a number of pubs...
  3. We came home with 2 pairs of kid's pink crocs size 6 yesterday from the playground in Dulwich Park - Sorry to someone who had to walk home in bare feet. Please PM me and we will deliver to rightful feet!
  4. Our neighbours were broken into in January - again, Lordship Lane end of Underhill - then in early February a burgler broke in through the French doors of a family opposite us when the Mum was bathing her child in bathroom. Stole handbag with car keys in and car was stolen. I saw a bobby on foot patrol yesterday - more of these needed!
  5. We live on Underhill Road and a distressed lady was walking along outside our house. Told us that she had her bag with phone and purse/diAry snatched today by two teenage boys who sprinted off in the direction of the Overhill Estate. Be careful everyone. This seems to be happening more and more lately.
  6. Elboonie, did you get sorted, my cleaner Violet has been with me for 5 years and she is really excellent and a lovely person, she also does the odd bit of babysitting. She is keen to get more work in this area as she is travelling a lot around London at the moment. Let me know. S
  7. I talked to Rose about a month ago and she said that although it was so very sad she would have to let the shop go as the rents had gone up so much and the independent feel of ED was going... The Hastings shop is where her heart is now... she also hinted that she thought there would be more closures on North Cross road due to rents being doubled almost in past few years.. How sad for all of us who love that area of ED
