  1. DaveR, that was too funny. I laughed so loud I woke the ba... Oh, never mind. Back on topic (sort of) littering is a criminal offence, is it not? So this woman with her plastic-wrapped faecal matter was, at the very least, committing shittering. To be honest, I'm gutted to have been dissed by Louisa, particularly where I'd have bet money she'd agree with me. Contrary is right.
  2. Oh I like a direct approach, believe me, but disappointingly I was otherwise engaged. And it was hardly curtain twitching or snooping; my eyes just happened to be pointing her way.
  3. I would've done but I wasn't in the street at the time. But sure, any problem here lies squarely with me.
  4. One larger dog - one of those lupine grey ones with black along its back - and a smaller ?brown one. Did you really have to dump the plastic bag full of dog poo in the gutter over a drain grate? You glanced around to see if anyone was looking before you dropped it. I was, actually. I mean, nobody really wants to carry a bag of warm dog poo around but, y'know, it's part of the deal with owning a dog, right? And there was a poo bin just a matter of a few metres further in the direction you were going, on the corner of Belvoir Road. At least if you hadn't bagged the poo, it would've washed away eventually, but instead you left a little gift for the road sweeper. Lazy and revolting.
  5. There was a small (empty) black handbag hanging on the fence of the flats at the P13 Belvoir Road (towards Peckham) bus stop earlier. Not much help really. Sorry this happened to your friend.
  6. I've signed too. Southwark have got a nerve!
  7. I think you'll need to get the hardcore stuff from the vet. (I'm assuming the treatment you mentioned was the stuff you can buy off the shelf in Sainso's.) Good luck!

  9. 43.4% turnout - a bit disappointing but could be worse.
  10. There are some exemplary privet hedges on Ryedale. Jolly good show!
  11. Nice, eh? http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w429/fortified1/photo.jpg
  12. There is a charred patch. (Yes, yes, the grass will grow back.) The 'killjoy' posts are a tad predictable, although it is true that there's nothing more irksome than people enjoying themselves. I hate fun in all its forms, apart from pooing in people's front gardens which is a hobby of mine. It's not hurting anybody, doesn't do any lasting damage and, well, I enjoy it so feel quite entitled to go about my, ahem, business. Why not PM me your home addresses :))
  13. Quite right, if young children are too 'dumb' properly to assess risk... :-S That aside, it isn't really living and letting live if nobody wants to sit anywhere near your party because there's smoke blowing at them. Couldn't agree more about the litter.
  14. Passing through Peckham Rye Park today, I saw two seemingly separate groups of people using what appeared to be aluminium tray barbeques in the arboretum. I've seen them being used on the Rye itself and in Dulwich Park in past years, but never before in the arboretum. It's hard to believe that this is allowed in a public space, for health and safety reasons if no other, but even if it is, it seems thoughtless to fill the air with smoke (as one of them was) and kill the grass underneath. The arboretum is popular with families with young children and it seems like a very bad idea to have hot coals in proximity to very young children.
