    Dogs in pubs?

I posted this originally in case anyone else had had a bad experience at the Vale like the one detailed below. I ordered drinks for 3 people and within minutes of sitting down was asked to leave because of my dog. I said we would leave after we?d finished our drinks as it was totally unreasonable to serve drinks then immediately evict!! The manger said ?no the dog had to leave? so I said we?d leave with a refund which he declined. This turned it to a hideous row until my wife insisted that we leave before it got even more unpleasant. Sadly the word I want tom write would probably get me banned for the forum but I?m sure you can use your imagination. BTW my dog is a big greyhound so hardly one the barman could miss!
  7. Erh, maybe I'm being stupid but my router has no control panel and had channel 6 written on the casing?
  8. Its never worked that well Cutting in and out and mailnly out I assumed that the dongle or the router itself was crap
  9. Thank you all In conclusion the sky router should be working? and changing channels should resolve my problems?
  10. Yes they are netgear It does work fine hard wired
  11. ...............doesn't work at home. Is likely to be: A) the router supplied by Sky being rubbish B) the dongle being used being rubbish Any advice most welcome

Dandy is a perfect pub dog (apart from size) as he does very little, is quiet and very friendly if approached. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Clockhouse has always been dog friendly. Is > your dog pub friendly?
  13. Nothing cosmic. Just microsoft office, Itunes, internet and some basic picture stuff.

Hello mate, long time no speak. Yes we have a rescue greyhound and very nice he is too. How are you?
  15. Should I only buy a laptop with an intel chip. The Acer 7540 17.3" widescreen Laptop has an AMD Athlon II processor M300 and I don?t know if I should care?
  16. What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Which pubs are dog friendly? General thought?
  17. I agree but realise that I may be the person who is seen to be argumentative. Whilst I get bored with people picking arguments too (EDF is from my experience more like ED Sarcasm or Clique) I think there are several ridiculous points being made in this thread. Surely the point of the forum is to share opinions and experiences. I was in Sainsburys and there was no need to ?reassure people?. I witnessed no panic just people getting on with their shopping sadly disinterested in the crime just committed. BTW PeckhamRose Sainsbury will have had a trained first aider on site (I believe this may be a legal requirement) I agree that staff shouldn?t have cleaned the crime scene but without a more serious incident I doubt the police would be dispatching CSI at all let alone one within 24 hours. (its not like the telly) A sadly common event in London doesn?t need EDF melo-drama and indignance.
  18. where do you play?

What are you talking about? Do you really think an announcement would reassure people? Do you think staff should have ?dealing with stabbing training?? I too was in the store just after the incident and think they (police and Sainsbury?s) did a good job of down playing the situation which is exactly what it needed.

    Madbid.com

Does anyone know anything about Madbid.com? Any tactics?
  21. I think he's just rude. He probably thinks he's funny or clever.
  22. Does "Jah Lush" know "Toast"?
  23. Yes I'm back! Straw man? A bit harsh. I believe that "Views??" was simply an introduction to discuss this issue. Marmora Man Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Views??
  24. Do the Pepsi challenge on free range and yes I reckon the conclusion is a resounding thumbs up but organic alone?
  25. Irresponsible journalism! Well the headlines at least. The report states there are insignificant nutritional benefits to organic food! ?120,000 to tell us that? Forumites you are correct in that organic farmers tend to treat their animals with more respect. ?Tend?. I suspect most people buy organic because of this and because they don?t like the idea of chemicals being on their food, not because an organic orange has more vitamin C. This research which is being misrepresented buy the media I have seen totally misses the point. Do the chemicals used in modern industrial farming definitely have unpleasant side effects? Intuitively middle class middle England thinks so.
