  1. I'm not yet, but I want to be. Let's talk!
  2. Hi Kiwis I so so so want to meet with you on the 15th, but sadly we're not going to be around that day. I'll hassle you for the next date though - my family needs a little kiwi too :)
  3. Hi Did you kiwi lot meet up in the end, or have you scheduled for a later date? Our little NZ family would be keen to meet up with other NZ families. We can be around the next couple of weekends if that suits anyone?
  4. Wow there's a right little community of the tonsil-less out there :) Thanks very much everyone, this really helps. Yes, it is Evelina he's having it done - such an amazing hospital with amazing staff! And I've just found a bit of literature online about that new method they're using there and it does indeed sound a lot easier on the child in terms of recovery. Thanks again.
  5. Hi My almost four year old son is having an urgent adenotonsillectomy performed next weekend. I had one myself as a teen, so I know what it's like for an adult. Has anyone on the forum got a child who had one at this age? He'll be four in March. I was just hoping to talk about recovery and what that's like for that aged child and how you prepared them and anything else you can tell me about what it was all like. Thanks!
  6. Hi I play piano and really want to get into playing with other musicians. Are there any other instrumentalists out there who would like to give some duets a go? I've got a couple of kids so would generally need to get together in the evening when they're in bed. Or alternatively is there anyone out there who would like to try a musical play date? :) My eldest is at nursery a couple days a week which just leaves me with the 17th month old and he's always partial to listening to me play piano while he potters about. So if anyone had a child of similar age and wants to come round with their instrument and see how much they'll let us play then we could always try that...sounds like fun to me! PM me if interested. Cheers.
  7. Hi Kate I'd be keen to meet up this week. My two are the same age as yours.
  8. Wow, those tents look awesome :)
  9. Hi everyone Has anyone here been to the Latitude Music Festival with kids in previous years, or is anyone planning to go this year? We're thinking of going with our 2 kids this year...
  10. Hi again everyone, I thought I was available Monday morning but I have to work now but I'm free any of the afternoons next week. Really want to start meeting you guys, so, who wants to meet me at the roundabout on Monday afternoon at about 3.15 (the earliest I can make it that day)? If it's too cold we could grab a nice warm drink at the caf?, at least to warm our hands with while the kids demand to ride the wooden animals outside :) And whoever can't make that I'm also up for the next afternoon too. I'll have more mornings available the following week. x
  11. Hehe look at us! :) We can't make Friday or Tuesday mroning but will be around on Monday if that works for anyone...anytime would do.
  12. Hello again, I really would love to meet and usually Fridays are okay with me, but just not this one :( And I can only do afternoons on Tuesdays. So please keep me in the loop with the next meet after your Tuesday one....Next Friday perhaps? :) And if anyone else CAN do Monday then let me know as I'll be at the park that day anyway. x
  13. Hi Caroline, There's another thread in this forum with stay at home mums in the title where people are trying to arrange a meet-up. If you have a look in there someone suggested Friday but I'm not sure whether that's happening. I know I can't make that day so I've just posted that I'm available on Monday if anyone wants to meet at the playground near the Peckham Rye one o'clock club. x
  14. Hi Everyone, Our household is well again and eager to meet some new friends! We can't do Friday unfortunately but is anyone around on Monday? Meet at playground near the 1 oclock club again? x
  15. Hi Everyone I have two little boys, one almost 3 and the other just 6 months old, and we'd love to meet up too. Unfortunately we're also in the same boat as Adelle, in the middle of a chickenpox outbreak, so we're not going to be able to hang out this week, but we'd love to join you all soon. Cheers, NBB
  16. Hi, we'd be interested. bumpy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is that Monday morning?
  17. Hi Sorry I haven't been on here for ages. Life got away on me there for a bit! I had a little boy back in June, my second. Are there any mums with toddlers too who would like to meet up at some stage? My best days are usually Monday and Tuesday although I can do other days too. Anyone want to hook up Monday the 8th? N.
  18. Hi We're thinking of moving our 2.5 year old to Puddleducks nursery in Nunhead. Is there anyone out there who has had a child attend there who could pm me with their thoughts on it? Thank you!
  19. Hello Can anyone recommend a lovely and reliable babysitter for a 25 month old? Thanks!
  20. Hi Alieh, do you have any links for particular ones that you recommend? Thanks x
