  1. My son went to oak tree nursery on Tell grove and really loved it. When he went last year there was no waiting list. It is always a small group of children so they get lots of attention and the people who work there are lovely. The only thing is that it is really geared towards am and pm sessions, you can do both but even the pm one ends about four i think, so it works best when you are not working or have a childminder or other half who can pick up.
  2. Our child bike seat was one of the best things Ive ever bought, I was nervous before trying it then within days it felt the most normal way of getting around in the world. It also really helps when you are in a hurry to get somewhere! I probably didnt shop around that much but would strongly recommend the copilot one we have, i think this is it: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/copilot/taxi-child-seat-ec009149. My older son is now getting a bit big for it, although i still took him out on it the other week although he has just turned four. The baby is only seven months and i cant wait until he is a nearer one and I can take him out when son one is not there, am really missing the cycling!
  3. Can I just second the beverley hills bakery new baby basket of muffins and cakes, that was by far my best present and I have bought it for others since.
  4. It was brilliant. Will also call and ask whether it is going to reopen and would certainly be up for collecting signatures etc if not.
  5. The tiny gym they used to run in Camberwell leisure centre was just the best thing ever. when they shut it when the centre was being refurbished they promised some sort of replacement but I think that went by the wayside. Does anyone know of anything similar apart from the crystal palace toddler world?
  6. At the moment I like the peckham pulse one best, as I have a baby too young to do much and a very active 3 year old who I can keep an eye on without having to actually go in there at all thank god as they dont let adults in the high up bit. Cant sit and have a coffee however.
  7. has everyone seen this on the southwark website, or maybe someone has already posted it elsewhere but I cant find it? The council has just announced that the nearest ones that will bulge for 2012/13 are bessemer grange, bellenden and Ivydale: http://www.southwark.gov.uk/admissions
