  1. Straferjack jeez my apologies for asking , if you don't wish to add anything informative then don't bother save your fingertips.
  2. Hi does anyone know what's happening with the old Draft house site on Lordship lane , it looks terrible just sitting empty and boarded up .....

  4. Look its not rocket science it London and zone 2 in a lovely green area that has been gentrified and a nice escape from the city, its a no brainer really , have you viewed the prices of equivalent properties in North London and Clapham ? we are still far far behind in equivalent pricing. Whether you like it or not the property prices will continue to rise and rise until the limited housing stock is exhausted and continually turned over with the overflow pushing up the prices of the less expensive suburbs nearby and within ED. The natural progression of people tiring of the London scene and moving out naturally leads to someone else will arriving and take the vacant spot at the increased price ect ect.... It was tough enough in relative terms buying a place in the first place here so hedge your bets on where you can afford and crack on :)
  5. Well it appears as the good folk of the ED forum are all for Squatters rights if you take into account the positive comments within the threads regarding the current squats of the ED police station and the conservative club. so with that in mind feel free to take over any abandoned / unoccupied shop in Ed , perhaps threshers might be a good start great location .......why buy when you can just .....occupy ?
  6. Hi you can report abandoned vehicle to southwark council, here is the link http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200001/abandoned_vehicles
  7. http://ratings.food.gov.uk/authority-search/en-GB/%5E/se22/desc_rating/0/528/%5E/1/1/10 Must say surprised by this:
  8. Is it just me or does anyone have a issue with the rubbish that is left out on Lordship lane by the business in the evening. The rubbish is unsightly gets in the way of the footpath and a beacon for rats and vermin , especially visible is the area outside the fruit and veg shop (near the cheese shop) and the Turkish restaurant opposite the Coop . In addition Lordship lane whilst a great street are could really do with a bit of lift TLC if you must , perhaps something along the lines of Bellenden road where there have really nice bollards along the roadside and lights that lift the street. Surely Southwark council can pull their finger out and organise something considering what a hub the street is for the local community ?
  9. Hi I had my flat burgled located on East Dulwich road and Worlingham road on Friday morning between 9am and midday. the scum made off with quite a few of my sentimental items. Just on the odd chance that if anyone saw a person wandering around about that time with a louis Vuitton keep all ( see pic ) either up East Dulwich road or Worlingham road and a large magnum of nyetimber as it was to large to fit in the bag ?
  10. I'm over Iceland take your terrible cheap manufactured multiple number additive added fake food and begone from our streets so last year ,. can pop into Peckham if I every feel the need ...... M&S welcome it should provide the crappy Co-op with competition because at the moment there currently isn't any. Face it if people want to do a big shop they will drive to one of the many supermarkets in the area. So Im all for it. I am happy to spend my money on the local independent shops as I see fit. At the end of the day its all about getting the best deal for the consumer all hail competition let us reap the benefits of better service prices and most of all cost. apologies if I have offended the left
  11. Really ? Perhaps the OAPs are renting out the flat for disco space to make ends meet !
  12. It appears that a new African nightclub has opened within the the St James flats on the corner of East Dulwich road and Worlingham road !! starting at 3am to ....well after i go to work they play the worst music and lots of gangster rap and heavy angry voices and shrieking this is not the first time and to throw in a visit by 2 police cars to get the party started !! hooo ray ..... does this mean I have become old :( ?
  13. Knock down the Iceland? Great idea! Maybe put up a 40 story multimillion pound skyscraper in it's place with enough room for a Waitrose, mini Harrods and a few luxury penthouse apartments, maybe even whack a direct tube service to Oxford circus (no stops along route). Don't you love living in SE22? :-) In response I hardly think that replacing one chain with a perceived better suited chain will bring the existing Lordship lanes independent shopping precinct crashing down nor will it have "sold it's self out " by gaining the services of these type of shops ,people will vote with there feet furthermore "that I must hate living in SE22 ? " A little over the top methinks , mind you I like your idea of a none stop tube to Oxford circus perhaps a link to the Eurostar while we are at it East Dulwich to Paris in under 3 hours ?
  14. I vote yes please to Fortnum's ( pipedream ) M&S or Waitrose they would be fab !! Perhaps knock down the Iceland and use that shop front
