Remove bath panel and wooden frame work (front only) - disconnect waste and taps (probably on flexible connectors) - remove any silicone around edge of bath to free it up then slide the bath as far towards to towel rail and you may have enough room to remove taps and replace. If the bath has adjustable feet drop that may help. It could be possible, pain though. Leave the wall alone.

Spoke to an engineer last week (he wasn't Virgin - but subbing for them). There isn't a fault, what they are doing is changing the amps in the green stations/boxes on the street). Once all the amps are changed the boxes will be ready to take fibre optic. Which he said is going to happen around June. So expect more issues then. Landells area. Apparently changing amps on the dated stations can be a bit hit and miss. Hence long outages. Virgin probably won't tell you this info and log a fault . I'm no fan of the customer service that's why I hunt down engineers.

Property prices cooling in ED?
Rianoo replied to cantthinkofaname's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sold values for SE22 in past 12 months were +11.6%. Even if they do cool that is quite a buffer for a 12 month period and considering SE22 property values rose during a period of stagnation in recession I am not too worried. The Panama Papers scandal may (possibly) also drive an influx of cash into the market seeing as London is happy to cater for big money, from wherever. -
@hagrid 0630 sounds perfect. Thanks.

Polished concrete floors in small spaces can be very expenseive per sq m. Polishing large areas is much cheaper. The reason is the cost for polishing corners, awkward areas, around stairs, columns etc pushes the price right up. Cost effective only in large spaces.

I wouldn't take a buggy on Cox's walk.

@Sue The front gates at P Rye park do shut but there are no other gates so you can just wonder in around the back. Probably why there were loads of tin foil cups in there this morning !!
-
@rah The gate notice quotes 8am as the opening time.

21 ans 23 SAS are Territorial Units (agreed, probably not logistics though)

I have noticed that some parks around South London give opening times on their gates although they generally seem to be open earlier than that. Does Dulwich Park stick to its 8am opening time ? The reason I ask is that it is fully gated unlike others.

Dear forum, I am hoping for some advice in to payment of a bill that I have been sent in reagrds to works on our home undetaken by the lease holder company on this property that I bought a while back. The bill is very substantial and we have never been invoiced for works or have received any detail of works undertakenrks or even seen the works undertaken. We have received a debt collection order with a seven days notice. We do not have the money to pay it and do not require a black mark - any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. R

ADT called round to mine this evening, 6.20pm. I was busy shifting things around. Therefore I asked him to come back later on the proviso he gave me a business/work/id card. The card was not forthcoming. I asked three times for that card. The encounter was strange as being they are supposedly a security company a card would be the least of their issues as it should be supplied to all employees to make potential business persons feel at ease. After telling him that I have already taken all precautions, bars, locks and alarms etc he did ask "shoes on or shoes off", in order to do an assessment, so he could enter my property. I told him to leave them on and politely said goodbye. If someone wants to enter a private property, unannounced, then the owners/occupiers should feel safe in letting them in by knowing who they are so I took the precaution of not doing so as they didn't want to tell me who they were. To be honest the very short encounter confused me, the pitch was cr@p, the id was non existent, now I am wondering who he is and where else has he gone. If anyone from ADT is reading this please supply your workforce with business cards so they can be checked out. Anyway he politely got the picture.

Odd request, but here I go.... Does anyone have knowledge of DVB viewer and the TSB6981 ? I have installed a dish and linked it to my PC but the FAqs have been very unhelpful and I would appreciate it if someone could go through the ropes with me. Moreso in repsect of finding and cataloging channels. My dish is in perfect alignment to 28.2 degrees East. Apologies if that sounds Dutch to anyone. I am not asking for free assistance, any help will be duly rewarded. Thanks R

I agree with flower - our house this evening smells of "something" burned - due to a close neighbour having a bonfire.

If its the original floor boards that are squeaking you will need to lift the laminate and screw the original floor tight to the joist then relay laminate. If it is the laminate then it needs packing out. There are rolls of thin insulation you can buy from places like B&Q (crap stuff) but it is good for that job. Both fixes require the laminate to be lifted. Alternatively throw the laminate in the bin - screw the joists down fill the gaps with resin and hire a sander then polish, oil or varnish.

On the gate a note has been left saying major electrical fault has ocurred so they are unable to open.

Apologies if I do not understand the line - "We are programmed to receive." - Seems a bit Ziggy to me - can anyone shed some light on it ?
