Ok, well here are the ones i know about off top of my head: Pizza Express in village 2 4 1 (except Sats with online voucher) GBK ?9;50 (or summat for a beer/drink + burger + chips with online voucher for a few weeks Plough 10 quid or 12 quid (can're recall) bottle of wine after 5pm on tues all night Herne Tav ?10 for 2 courses from a set menu, unsure of conditions Liquorice 2 4 1 on Sunday to tues pizzas

Sorry if there is already a place for this but there are a loads of deals on in various pub/bars/restaurants etc in ED. Things such as Sunday to tues pizzas at Liquorice (?) and tues deals on bottles of wine at The Plough etc etc etc. There's quite a few. So how?s about a thread or a place to talk about them or just share the info?

Where's it gone to! It's disappeared. Such a shame, it seems to have merged into Hillcourt Rd.

I invite my mates round on some random Sundays for a kick about. Either Peckham park or Dulwich. If there are free nets we play the game - one either side of the goal with one in goal and take shots. It's as jumpers for goalposts as it gets. We're rubbish as well.

tried a new one the other day....Chicken Sagg at Omrith - had it Saturday and it was utterly brilliant.

Glad to see it is not just me (if you know what i mean). Had so many problems with Sainsburys it became a joke. As much as a pain as it was i sent a letter of complaint every time after the first incident and was often offered a money off voucher. I'd rather they did it right in the first place. The most annoying thing was they constantly messed up any 2 4 1 offer. I ended up paying full price for one item so many times on the 4th time i gave up. O

Has the pie and eel shop closed? - I'm sure i went past on bus the other day and it was full of people - yesterday i think. Manze are you on about? O

Good news about the pizza but i'm more worried about the Pieminister pies going! O

Tried twice. Very overpriced for not particularly high quality. Late both times. The fact they have an 0845 number to sting you for a few more pence when ordering sums it up IMHO. O

I thought I had a problem but thankfully mine was an annoying flurry of the bastards rather than a swarm. Don't give up attitude pretty much got rid of mine - or at least I think. Before my loft was insulated I scattered two huge carrier bags full of lavender, stalks and all. Sprayed the whole flat with fly spray every time i left for a night out. Put the male traps in the loft, 3 of them (where I thought they were coming from) Also added cedar balls to all my clothes places. Plus used to jump up and squish or splat the buggers in midair. Haven't had one all winter and no sign of them back this year yet. fingers crossed. O

I really want a pet octopus but dunno where to get one!!! O

Agreed, but i don't think you can beat a few jars in the FHT and an Omrith!

Saw a car for sale there being lifted onto/or off the space by lorry with a hydraulic arm. I assumed it was being towed away for being there illegally but obviously not. O

Is the Pavillion the one near ED station on Melbourne Grove? It has a sign in the window sating "We are now closed thanks to all our customers over the years" etc.

Beware of the right hand HSBC card hungry machine. Both myself, and a friends girlfriend have lost cards in that hole in the wall. .Card goes in then the thing reboots "press F2" etc etc. card stays in and machine sits on standby. Lucky for me (and also quite bizarrely) while shouting and thumping it a voice from within asked me if my card was stuck. The talking machine turned out to be someone locking up so i got the card back but it was just luck that I got it back. O

Went for a pint the first time the other day. It was great. Nice inside, the food menu looked great and well priced ?and friendly bar staff too. Will be going back

Thanks everyone. I got 1.39999999999 from the PO as it was bit last minute. Didn't want to use card abroad as i am charged ?1.50 for each blinking transaction! Could have got 1.42 while abroad, with no commission, but it was much of a muchness for the amount i was taking out really. thanks all! O

Got a take away from Ginko which is in Forest Hill but deliver to ED. The udon noodle dishes and thai chilli chicken were really really great and the egg rice far from greasy. Can't wait to order from there again and see if the rest is up to scratch.
