I had similar problems with Piplings (on the side of Peckham Rye park)... we have been there in person once, called 3 times, emailed 4 times and had NO reply... each time me or my other half were treated like an unwanted customers (?!?!?)... weird really. You would think they care more about their customers but NO :( I think the Ofsted report should also include how the nursery deals with the parents as well! Very disappointing. Or maybe we should create a section on this forum listing separately all nurseries and parents giving feedback not only on how wonderful care children get but also how easy it is to communicate with the nursery and they deal with enquiries etc. Anyhow, we gave up on this bureaucratic nonsense and are in search for a childminder or a nanny now.

Hi all, Are they any new Polish speaking mums on the forum? My little monster is 10months old and would love her to be among other Polish-speaking families so she doesn't think that only her mummy speaks some weird language ;) I know there is quite a few Poles in London and hopefully a few mums in Dulwich area as well! PM me if you would like to chat / meet up for a coffe&cake :o) PS. I realise it would make more sense to write the post in Polish but poor admin would have problems with understanding teeheehee :P Cheers! Di

Baby and parent cinema on weekends?
czosnek replied to antantant's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Anthony, I usually take me little one to Clapham Picture House - they do Saturday screening - have a look at the What's On section - the purple blocks are for parents & kids only :) http://www.picturehouses.co.uk/cinema/Clapham_Picturehouse/Whats_On/All/This_Week/ The seats are really big, very comfy and they dont fold which makes life much easier, especially when you have a little baby - my daughter often sleeps on that seat or I just sit her up there. Hope this helps! Di -
I must agree with Kes. I have been using BabyBjorn since my little one was born (5 months ago now) and find it VERY comfortable. I had massive problems with my back, which I had fixed and still can use babyBjorn all day round on a regular basis with no pain to my back whatsoever. I usually criticise everything so surprisingly there is something I cannot moan about but actually recommend! :o) Having said that I suppose it is all down to what size you are and how big the baby is - some things work for some people and others simply don't - good luck with your choice thou :) Di

Hi all, After a verrry prolonged house renovation and sleepless nights I am rejoining winter babies yay! LOL ;o) I met with a few of you when we were still pregnant but haven't seen anyone since then - will be lovely to catch up and see all the little ones (not so little anymore probably!!). I wont be returning to work till January so plenty of time to make some new friends for my little Zosia and I :)) Are you still meeting today in the Gardens @2pm? hope to see you there! Di

Where can I get an etch-a-sketch type thing locally?
czosnek replied to Ruth_Baldock's topic in The Family Room Discussion
If you have an iPad/iPhone you can use a digital version of it - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sketchmoo-2/id436641050?mt=8&ls=1 -- works exactly the same :) Di -
Hey all, Wont be able to make it tonight as my other half gave me a beautiful present - MASSIVE FLU!!! ahhh... life ;) Nicky - the hypnobirth with Kristin Hayward sounds great!
