Hi Melissa Thanks for posting about your refurbishment. We?re about to start a loft extension and hope to do a bigger project next year. Please can you pass me their contact details? Many thanks, Hannah
-
Hi I think I've been conned by palacehero from this site. Do you have a way of contacting them? His mobile texted me this morning at 7.30am, but now his phone is off. His name is James Varcoe. Please could you advise? Many thanks, Hannah

DKHS parent governor election candidate
HannahKT replied to HannahKT's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Please make sure you vote by tomorrow for the parent governor election. Again, let me know if there's anything you would like to ask me about myself, or that you would like to tell me about Dog Kennel Hill School. Best wishes, Hannah -
Hi For those of you with children at Dog Kennel Hill School, I am running for the position of Parent Governor. Send me a message if you would like to know anything about me, having read my statement (you should have received it in your child's bookbag at the end of last week), or if you would like to make any comments or raise any issues. I can also be available after school on Tuesday in the playground if anyone would like to meet me. Remember to VOTE by taking your ballot papers to the school office by WEDNESDAY 22nd OCTOBER (next Wednesday). Many thanks, Hannah

Baby Jogger City Mini recommendations
HannahKT replied to RuthN's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Love City mini! Sturdy yet lightweight, folds easily, adjusts seat height and straps easily- love it! -
Hi Keep forgetting to check this and missing out on all the fun! We actually didn't end up going to Bessemer School in the end, I'm wrangling with whether or not Jack has a nap at the moment (recently three), so he's often grumpy in afternoons either way. Does anyone fancy doing anything this Thursday, especially with toddlers? I'm open to timings and ideas! Hope you're all well and tongue ties are being resolved. It's amazing how prevalent it is, yet how much grief it ends up causing everyone because of poor diagnosis/care. I really feel for you and am amazed that some of you are managing to breastfeed inspite of it! Hannah xx

Ooh, Wed morning sounds like a great find! I can't do this week (whole host of appts this week!), but am definitely up for following Wednesday. I saw you heading for pilates last week, Anna, as I waited to enrol Jack on a swim course- some people arrived at 6.30am even though they only started scheduling places from 9! There are just too many kids in East Dulwich! Can't wait to meet up soon, Sal, xx

Hi ladies I've been completely AWOL too, congratulations to all of the new mums and your babies!! I had baby Natasha two weeks late, at a whopping 9lb 7oz, but she thankfully took less than two hours to come out once induction finally worked. All a bit dramatic actually, with husband only just present and delivered by a midwife from the induction ward who doesn't normally deliver babies as no-one else was available! I seem to have been busy with visitors and catching up with other new mum friends, but really must be more sociable and also start the exercise regime too! Natasha was a really good baby the first three weeks, but the last two has been more typically grouchy and hard to settle in evenings. I'm particularly up for meeting others with toddlers on Wednesdays and Thursdays with my three year old Jack, as am also scared about managing two - particularly how to put both to bed when my husband travels in a fortnight!! Best go, husband's patience is waning.... Hpe you're all well, and hope to catch up soon, xxx

Unfortunately the 'pamper lady' was up sick all night, so didn't want to infect us at all! People are still welcome to come over though. Anna, I'll pm you my details. Hope you feel better, bea, I know what you mean about harder second pregnancy- can't be too long now though. Just keep focused on the end goal, xx

I would normally be very up for some swing action with little ones, especially on a Friday morning, but I've somehow got a delivery, a contractor and a health visitor appt all fitted in this Friday am and nursery Christmas party in the avo! Crazy time of year becomes ridiculous when you're preparing for baby!! Regarding Thurs night, I'll check with Angela if she's happy to come to mine just to do my nails, and then do other stuff if required on more adhoc basis as I know it's difficult to confirm. At the end of the day, I'll be at home anyway, and I'll just have mince pies and mulled wine on standby, just in case! (I'll blatantly consume the supplies if they're not used!!). Hope everyone is feeling as calm as possible given our various circumstances! Hope it's going well so far, new mums! X

Hi ladies HUGE congrats on the baby girls and a glass of well-earned wine for the mums by Christmas, you lucky things! ;-) Does anyone want to come over to my house this THursday for a pamper session? I've got a lovely lady called Angela to come over (found her on the EDF), who does reasonably priced treatments - facials, mini-massages, pedis, manis, even waxing! I can't find her price list to hand, but I thought it was cheaper than salons. She'd like to know what people want in advance so that she can bring the right bits. I've used her for gel nails (like acrylic, but not as damaging for nails). I can lay on non-alcoholic mulled wine and minced pies (bought!), then would suggest that we order takeaway Italian from Il Mirto as they deliver, or I'm happy to go with a curry or whatever else people prefer. If it could be a 7.30 kick-off that would be great, so I can put Jack to bed before the doorbell goes. If some people want to come to mine and some want to still go to the pub instead I won't be offended! For those heavily pregnant or a bit under the weather, hopefully it's a bit more of a chilled option for you! If you can let me know on the thread or on pm ASAP that would be fantastic! Hope you're all well, ladies, really excited to start meeting babies! Hannah xx PS Christmas tree has just gone up, hurray!!

PS (computer was playing up and wouldn't let me finish message) sorry to hear about people who are struggling with various pains at the minute, it's such a weird mix of wonderful and really tough this pregnancy malarkey. Pickle, if you ever want a bit of company, I'd be happy to pop over bearing cookies or something equivalent to take your mind off things (sometimes a good thing), it's frustrating wanting to be sociable but not feeling up to it. Take care everyone! Hannah xx

Hi Thanks for the arnica tip, anything that helps, right? Sounds like we'll clear Health Matters out! I'm also considering home birth now, not particularly through choice, if I'm honest, but my first labour was so quick that given that I have a 3year old at home and my mum would take nearly 2hours to drive up to ours, we may not have any choice! Has anyone been to the home birthing workshop on the Saturday morning? I'm struggling to get babysitter for me to go to it, so wanted to check if it's useful before going to greater lengths to sort out. Wish I could do Wednesday, but that's my day of appointments- yoga, midwife...and haircut for me, more excitingly! Would be up for coffee next week though if anyone's interested. My son's normally at nursery, but I'd love to bring him along if other people have theirs out to play, as we don't know many people with nippers in the area. Would anyone be interested in a night in on Thursday 15th Dec? I know a lovely lady who does manis, pedis, facials, mini massages etc, so we could have a chilled one? I could host at my place on Copleston road. I won't be offended if people prefer the pub meet up, just thought it might suit some of the more exhausted people! See you all Thursday, anyway, looking forward to it.

Hi all I've been completely AWOL for various reasons, some fun, some not so fun, but am conscious that weeks are Ticking by and I really must be more sociable and better prepared!! I will do my best to make next thurs at the Actress, but is anyone up for daytime coffee next week? I have contractors in on Monday so I could provide house and cake (bought!!), or else I'm pretty free for lunch or coffee out somewhere on Thurs day? Any takers then drop me a PM and we can swap numbers and arrange. Hope you're all well. I've had pelvic problems with this pregnancy so trying to sort myself out with yoga and physio and trying not to worry about labour (even as a second-timer!!). Enjoying starting to get 'big boys' room and nursery ready though! Starting to feel real now, eh?! Hope to see you all soon, glad all the classes are going well- parenthood is full-time thing even before baby's arrival, eh?!! Hannah xx

Hi FYI I just heard about this site gurgle.com, as my friend's just started working for them. Apparently they're linked to mothercare in some way. Not sure if it's any good, but just in case it's of use, especially for first-timers! Congrats, Sal, you must be really excited! I'm planning on trying to go to nicky's play tonight, Dulwich Players, if hubby's home in time to babysit, in case anyone's yhinking of going, maybe see you there. Break a leg, Nicky! Hi ladies There's so much to think about, isn't there?! Flu jab hadn't even occurred to me, I'm just busy being excited about my final holidays I'm squeezing in - 3 of us are off to Dubai for relaxation and sunshine (PLEASE let my son start sleeping better!!) next week, for which I CAN'T WAIT! I then am fitting in a cheeky girls' weekend to Budapest at 30 weeks pregnant; just about OK! Hence why I'm not around for next couple of evening meets. I am definitely up for coffees this week and the week I get back, I've just house issues - electrician, gas guy and mouse guys all in within a week, which is filling up week, by the time you have to allow a 2hour slot or whatever for them to come - who'd be a grown up, eh?! So I'm free afternoons this week, Monday- Thursday, if anyone's up for meet up, drop me a PM with your number and I'll try to coordinate. I can then put a post on here in case anyone else is free as well, but I find it easier to sortout time and venue with just a couple/few. Anyway hubbie is peeling veg and I feel i should help! Hope you're all having lovely weekends, good luck with scans, I can't wait for the 32 week one now- few weeks to go yet, though! Hpe to catch up soon, Hannah x
-
Hi No worries everyone, I survived! Thanks for the messages of concern though. Scans are so exciting, aren't they? We were totally set on finding out sex until I told my husband I didn't want to find out the night before...when I repeated that the next day at the hospital he didn't remember- must make note to ask for more stuff when he's basically asleep!! ;-). So we're in yellow-nurseried ignorance! Exciting about the boy, BB. Mothercourage-will you try to find out later, or do you like the suspense now?! I'm waiting to find out about some workmen next week, then I'll maybe suggest a date and place for midweek coffee for those of you who are around. Monday or Tuesday are looking good, so watch this space if you're up for that... Fortnightly probably sounds like a plan. Have fun at Actress and hope to catch up soon. Hannah x
-
Sounds like a plan. Thanks for sorting it out even though you won't be there, Caroline! Hope to see a couple of you later, anyway, although I am knackered I will try to be as lively as poss! If anyone is ever up for coffee in the daytime, I'm not working, due to various reasons, so feel free to drop me a text and we can do a coffee crawl along Lordship Lane or something?! I was about to put my number up here, but I guess any random could see it, so maybe PM me if you're up for it. Have a good week everyone, Hannah x
-
Ooh, is anyone qctually able to make tonight at the Gowlett? I'm not sure there have been any yeses. My hubby will be home late so I won't get there til 8 at the earliest. Should we cancel it? I don't want to soil Caroline's good name as she made the reservation! Anyone, anyone? (Ferris Bueller reference) Hannah x
