Hello, My daughter will be attending Reception at Goose Green this September and I was wondering if there were any other parents that wanted to arrange any playdates before then? We are not around for a week before Bank holiday but if anyone is around and wishes to meet up, we can do Saturday morning. Pm me. If you were at the Goose Green parents picnic, then we probably met you there -). Enida

Goose Green Reception Intake 2014 & Fair 5th July
Enida replied to goosegreenpta's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hello, Great day at the fair last weekend, thank you for organising. I am looking forward to the picnic and meeting some other parents this coming weekend. I am very sad to see that the stay and play was this week as we missed it. I did add my email to the school and PTA list but dont think i have received anything. Might check the spam folder! -
Dulwich Medical Centre - Any good?
Enida replied to Juliette&Rich's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have always been very frustrated with DMC. Yes, you do get an appointment when you queue at 7.30 but we shouldnt have to do this. We should be able to get appointments on the day or the day after on the phone if it is an emergency and week after if it is not an emergency - it is difficult to take a sick child or a baby with you at 7.30am out in the cold, wait in the line, and then come back in two hours to be seen by a doctor. I imagine it is even more difficult for eledrly people. The surgery should have more doctors and more resources... -
Any suggestions for egg hunt activities this easter weekend? I had a look on the forum but couldn't find anything other than the Horniman Museum markets... Thanks

I know, how can you loose a car seat! Well, when unloading our car after a weekend trip, we took the carseat out and put it on the pavement. Seems like we then forgot to pick it up! It was left on Blackwater st, the afternoon of 27th of October. If anyone found it and took it home thinking it was left there to be taken, much appreciated if you could get in touch. Many thanks Enida

The Gardens cafe - NOT baby friendly

Thanks Fuschia, it's a bit far for us (we tend to walk to places) but we'll try and get there at least once -). Enida -
The Gardens cafe - NOT baby friendly
Enida replied to nubby'smums's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I used to love the Gardens cafe last year. I used to take my daughter there and sit in the back room and she got to play with the other kids. Then they changed the setting and the attitude towards mums and babies. I never felt welcomed afterwards and didn't come back. I don't know how they don't get what a mistake that it - the place used to be full of mums and children having food and cakes and coffees, and now it's empty all the time! -
Hello, I'm trying to find a nursery for my one year old but they all seem to have huge waiting lists! Do you know of any nurseries that are accepting children? I have tried Little Jungle, My Fav nursery, Bright Horizons and Asuinth nursery!! Looking for 2-3 days a week. Thanks Enida

Hello - does anyone know what catchment area Darrell Road might fall in? We're interested in nurseries and primary schools. I have not managed to find the distance from the road to different schools in the area as the straight line business makes it a bit difficult! I am a bit worried we might fall into the 'black hole' mentioned in some of the discussions!! Thanks

Hello - we're moving in the area in about two weeks and I need to register my one year old with a GP. Can you recommend any good doctors that deal mainly with babies/children? I did a search but could not find any previous discussions .... Many thanks Enida

Thank you very much every one. You've been all so helpful. I hope we'll find something for her as I'd love a few days off once in a while!! Enida

Hello - we're just about to move in the area and I am doing some research on nurseries. I am getting very confused! Seems like they are all for children over 2-3 year old. How about younger ones? My daughter is one year old and I'm looking for a nursery for may be two days a week. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks Enida
