I like Camberwell's arty vibe and it is much more mixed up and down-to-earth than ED (do we really need any more boutiques selling overpriced pommades and baby clothes!!!?) Some of the architecture there is fantastic, especially the lovely Grove Vale. However it seems to be absolutely full of nutters, drunks and crackheads, which I find a bit scary and off-putting. Probably a bit un-pc to say that but it's the truth... i agree - i change bus for Euston at Camberwell every morning and the same scary aggressive guy is there everyday verbally abusing people and disrupting the buses - i can't understand why the local shopkeepers don't call the police as he must affect their trade (my first post - have been browsing for ages - great site!):))
