Agree, I've lived in ED for 17 years and yesterday morning at 6am ish was relentless, constant roar/drone of engines. Last night I slept with windows closed just in case there was a repeat this morning ...

I think it’s a bit tricky when there are multiple gates and not being aware of the order that they are locked. As I found out when walking through Ruskin Park last winter. Gate open at Coldharbour Lane side, but by the time I got to Denmark Hill that exit was locked. Had to walk up the perimeter to find a lower part of the fence to climb over, with the help of a kind passer by on the other side. It wasn’t a very graceful manoeuvre!

I know there are a few practitioners in the area, but would appreciate any personal recommendations. My 19 year old has a knee injury/dislocation and is on crutches waiting for an MRI scan. Has received very little after care or advice, and I’m hoping that a physio could help.

Help out with a local Parkrun on Saturday mornings? Herne Hill Velodrome used to take volunteers, not sure if still the case. Local Scout/Cubs/Beavers often need extra help with their weekly sessions. My teenager volunteered with West Norwood Feast community market, for his Bronze/Silver/Gold hours, setting up the stalls, giving out leaflets, tidying the site, helping at the information stall etc.
