Great thanks, that sounds great - anybody else with other options? Anybody just come back from a brilliant holiday? We went to Azur hotel in Cirali, Turkey in June and I would 100% recommend it, the entire area was extremely child friendly, great pool & beach 5 mins - both husband and son want to go back but I think there must be other places similar - please give me some inspiration though!!

Ok I know I'm planning very far in advance but I need a holiday to look forward to! We will have two boys, both just shy of 4 & 2 respectively. We want a pool with a beach close by and a nice relaxed environment. Short haul better for us, where would you recommend, where have you been to recently?

We had a rat who came into our kitchen once, it had nibbled a hole through a plastic air ent. Call the council (although we had to wait 6 weeks for ours - although it was tower hamlets many moons ago!). Jack Russell's are excellent at getting rats

I don't understand what is wrong with shutting the door to the bedroom? We have always shut the door with our 2.8yr old.

We have been twice here with our toddler. I was on dianette and then changed to marvelon (which is also good for acne but without the side effects). When ttc the first couple of months were fine but then I did get really bad acne that didn't stop until I was over three months pregnant. The only thing I could use was the benzoyl peroxide, no antibiotics etc. Second time round I was really worried about my skin but as it only took a couple of months of ttc so the spots never materialised. No real advice other than to say it may get worse before it gets better, the good point to take from this is from the second trimester onwards & whilst breastfeeding my skin has been fine & you may be really lucky & get pregnant quickly. There is not much point worrying about things you have no real control over

Also bear in mind that you may move but the headmaster of the school may change and standards may drop, similarly often the schools that need improvement gets lots of funding and attention and can often improve dramatically over a 3-4yr period. Therefore I would say schools can change so don't invest too much into it!

The Methodist church on normanton rd SE23 has playgroups on a Monday ?2 or Friday ?1 morning 9.30-11.30. Also little bubbles is there on a Wednesday (although that's ?6). Horniman has busy bees which is free on a Tuesday or a Friday (but that is less energetic) Have a look at the children centre timetables

Hi everyone, thanks for responding. In the end I got a mobile hairdresser who was recommended on another thread. Brilliant, got my highlights and cut done in the comfort of my own home and no worries about lugging a baby around. Absolute bargain too! Her name is Carly and is mentioned on lots of threads on EDF. Next time husband and toddler are also going to haircuts whilst my colour is on.

Well my son has been late to hit all his milestones but he definitely isn't lazy he has just developed at a different rate. You sound very proud but also a bit silly to be putting so much emphasis on milestones.

I'm on maternity leave with a 6 week old and a 2 year old. My game plan is to get out of the house and do an activity/playgroup for toddler in the morning then home for lunch and nap & crafty things in afternoon. Only problem is that I can't find a good class to do on the Tuesday morning. My son is very active so something which involves burning off a bit of energy would be good. We are based in forest hill, open to any suggestions
