    I bought some fresh pork mince a few days ago, made meatballs (uncooked) and froze them. I defrosted them today but we have now decided to go out for dinner. My question is, if I now cook the meatballs can I freeze them again (as they will have been cooked through)? Silly question, but with a baby son and an elderly father I don't want to take any chances... Thanks x

    I've just bought the River Cottage Baby & Toddler Cookbook. Looks like there are some nice recipes in there.

    I think Avocado (the picture framers shop near East Dulwich station) has someone who does it. Not sure how much it is but I've seen an example in the shop and it was lovely.

    I went for a basic Antilop from IKEA. It's been a great buy - inexpensive, very easy to clean (we do baby-led weaning so needed something easy to wipe down), easy to transport and it's also the model used in quite a few restaurants and pubs so my son is already used to the chair when we take him out.

    Just spoken to manager at Mother Goose, Greendale - they will be sending a text shortly advising parents to collect their children sooner rather than later if they can. I am leaving now as I am nearby, but I don't think there are any specific problems in the area at the moment and she did stress it was up to individual parents.

    Very worried now - we are very close to Choumert Road but my son is a nursery near Sainsbury's on DKH. Not sure whether to go and get him now, or maybe he is safer where he is for the moment. Is anyone else picking up their children early?

    Can anyone recommend a good car seat for a 9 month old who weighs approx 8.5kg? We're after one that will last for a few years so we don't have to keep replacing it. Thanks

    I spent an afternoon ironing tags onto my son's clothes before he started nursery and nearly all of them fell off in the first wash. I bought a laundry pen for about ?3.99 in Sainsbury's and that has been much better, quicker & easier (and cheaper!).

    Not sure I'd call it funky, but I got a cute white silk romper suit from Autograph at M&S (online) for my son's christening in June. It was quite simple as I didn't want anything frilly or flouncy..

    After trying quite a few slings I bought a Manduca and it's been great - really comfy to wear, baby is happy and more often than not drops off to sleep in it, and it is quick and easy to put on (which was very important to me). It's a bit more expensive than others on the market but I've been really happy using it (it adjusts easily too, so my husband can use it without too much faff).

    Thanks all, will follow up your recommendations as things progress. Not a good time - my son is starting nursery on Monday and I was due back to work in 4 weeks :(

    My son is 8 1/2 months - he has weetabix made with formula and half a mashed up banana, or 6 dsp porridge oats (not baby porridge) mixed with 100ml formula and apricot puree. He loves toast for afternoon tea but won't bother with it for breakfast for some reason :-S I feed him but he also likes to grab handfuls for himself.

    Can anyone recommend a good employment lawyer? I need someone to review a compromise agreement as have just been told (this morning) that my role is likely to be made redundant, and as I am coming to the end of my current maternity leave it would be useful to have someone with some maternity/legal expertise.
