We are a local Country Rock group, looking for a male singer to join us. Current line-up is drums, bass, two guitars and a female singer. We are looking for a male singer to complete the line-up. We mostly play Country Rock and Country covers, gigging locally, for fun. We occasionally get paid, but there's probably not going to be a lot of money in it! We rehearse most weeks and have our own rehearsal space in East Dulwich. My daughter walked the Peckham Rye Park Run, 9am on Saturday mornings (2 or 3 laps - 2 or 3miles), you can register and they get a weekly noticification of completion and the Volunteer staff will sign them off at end.

I saw a large black bird on Peckham Rye Lake today - looked a bit like a black heron. Has anyone else seen it, and do you know whether it could be a cormorant? Didn't have my phone with me, but if I see it again I'll try to get a photo.

Great Park Peckham Rye, if it was a 9 hole crazy Golf Course Southwark could ask the local schools each to design and construct s bit of the course as a school project, would be a great way to get local kids involved. Golf is a good game to get all ages/families/friends together, don't think they should be charging too much eg adults ?3 kids go free. Mine would prefer golf to bowling I am sure.
