    Anyway, went to Artusi last night, had grilled artichokes with bagna caulda and octopus with asparagus and wild garlic, followed by olive oil cake with loquats - all delicious and the chef I was eating with was similarly impressed. Three courses each, two glasses of wine and a glass of vermouth each, and the bill came to ?80 including service - which we added.

    For over a year they have had loads of empty shelf space, trying to fill it at Christmas with panetonne....said, but I am not surprised.

    I was just wondering that KK. On Rye Lane (yes, I know, pit of filth and dirt) the council do a 'box' run every day at around 5.00 pm - perhaps something similar could be organised for LL?

    Had dinner there with a friend tonight. It is a lovely room, great service. Menu changes all the time and comprises three starters, three pasta/risotto, three mains, three puddings. We had three starters, two mains, a pudding and three glasses of wine, bill came to ?60. This is not your usual pasta/pizza restaurant but great Italian cooking with a modern edge. Loved it.
