  1. I like it too - will be popping in tomorrow.
  2. http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=8d075fb4943f55a03cf29125f&id=4ed88375eb Bambuni are moving to smaller premises and are stopping being a caf?.
  3. Oh but such burgers - I'm not a huge burger fan, and am not overly keen on this business, but their burgers are phenomenal.
  4. The Bussey is on the other side of Rye Lane from PR Station to the right of the railway bridge - you go through a little alley to get to it.
  5. In all fairness the people running the White Horse have been in the area for a while, and the old owners wanted to get out. Better the Monty people take it over than it get converted into flats or taken over by an identi-kit operation like Greene King or Fullers?
  6. Anyway - dropped in this afternoon for a glass of wine on the way home - lovely service, well stoked wood burner, lovely place to spend an hour.
  7. We were there on 3 January, three large parties with young kids, all having a great time. I am one of the naysayers about having kids in pubs but everyone seemed happy - so did you just have bad day eliz01? Struggling to recognise the picture you have painted.
  8. I *think* I was one of the first to sign up to PP - living on the Rye between Peckham and ED I have to support this - bon chance!
  9. Mine disappeared for about half an hour this afternoon - have you tried again?
  10. Hope, never experienced that either.
  11. I can't help on prices but would say in my experience it has all been worth the extra to get them to pack.
  12. *Like* Seacow x
  13. If you sign up for their online service you can get one on 31 December - not much compensation I know.
  14. Hardly the only....this isn't even recent... http://pickyglutton.com/2013/09/02/best-worst-taiwanese-buns-in-london-flesh-and-buns-review/#leongslegendcontinues
  15. It's not a rip-off of Bao London, it's a Bao Restaurant - Bao London didn't invent it...
  16. And Flaming Mangal is fine - just remember it's BBO.
  17. Mr Bao have problems with their electricity supply so more likely to be 6 weeks. I went to a preview last night though and it will definitely be worth waiting for!
  18. We have just had lunch at the White Horse - not much changed, just freshened up a bit - lovely food, beer and wine, we'll be back.
  19. Oh, didn't realise Flaming Mangal was BYOB, had assumed it wasn't licensed at all. Popped in late Thursday and really enjoyed the food - it is VERY bright though ;)
  20. I don't understand why people need a physical branch - I have visited mine once in the last year to cash in the Travellers Cheques I found when clearing out my Dad's estate.
  21. I live on Peckham Rye and it's quite a regular thing to have horse-drawn hearses pass by - always very moving and a great South London tradition.
  22. Ayres in Nunhead do an excellent croissant. Made on the premises, not bought in then baked.
  23. Doesn't take much for something to be controversial on here ;)
  24. In that case Aggie you have my every sympathy and agreement and I apologise for the misunderstanding.
