  1. If you're after Dim Sum I and several Chinese friends like Dragon Castle at the Elephant - a 343 drops you outside the door.
  2. It's going to be a barbers.
  3. Yes, I shudder to think what the effect of the same fire would have been on our neighbours in Solomon's Passage - it was very reassuring that the fire stopping in our car park worked so well, with no flats affected.
  4. They are small enough to be bounced, just move it.
  5. What geneie said.
  6. Excellent! They have reached their target - let planning commence!
  7. Well, there is no legal reason why it should be - the question was asked about the Council's money, and that will go to the CIC because councils can't give money to non-constituted bodies. People, like me, who back crowdfund and spacehive projects like this do so knowing there is a risk - if they were solid gold copper bottomed money making machines the banks would fund them. These are projects designed by and for people to provide a service or commodity not make huge amounts of money.
  8. It is ?10k from Southwark Council, not ?65k, and the Lido project is now a CIC - a Community Interest Company which has its own legal responsibilities and accounting procedures, primarily answerable to Company Law.
  9. Going to be a hairdresser the people at Mr Bao told me.

  18. Choumert Gardens have an annual shindig.
  19. I hadn't heard that, is it the block right on the passage built by Wandle Housing? They had major repairs last year to do with the gas supplies, haven't heard anything else. I live next door in Aura Court. Find it hard to believe they will have to demolish.
  20. Yes, definitely and I recommend Hither Green Oven Cleaning.
  21. Well done, the act of a responsible dog owner.
  22. Seville and Cordoba also worth a visit - love that part of Spain.
  23. It is inevitable that they want a site here, and given that, I think it is preferable there, near to all the other Estate Agents, than further up Rye Lane.
  24. Second support for 'Cravings' by The White Horse (our new regular anyway) - lovely fresh South American/Mexican food, a far cry from chain TexMex. And Mr Bao is pretty good too, cracking review in Time Out today.
