Really pleased to hear that! Our last few experiences there have been awful. We would like to see decent (and not necessarily posh) food, and some real ales. It's a great space and could be a fabulous pub. Good luck!
Does anyone know what's going on at the corner of Peckham Rye/Nunhead Lane? It has a notice on it saying 'Nunhead PSV site' but no idea what that means.
I used to go to Lordship Lane vets and always had exemplary service - but the convenience of having a Vets 10 minutes walk across the Rye has made me switch and I was very pleased with the service I got. Not better than Lordship Lane but as good and a whole lot nearer.
I'm at DMC Chadwick Road and have never had any problem. The receptionists are friendly, the doctors are great (and I have experienced quite a few of them)and I have even had a couple of home vists from them. It doesn't necessarily bother me that I don't see the same doctor every time but I have always found them very helpful at trying to fit you in, or suggest a phone call from the doctor.
So sorry to hear about that, was burgled many years ago (in Edinburgh) and it is a horrible experience. I am always amazed by people who have high hedges in their front gardens - they may feel it gives them privacy but is also gives burglars privacy to get on with their work....
The palm trees and olive trees have been there for years and the Palms of Peckham have become a symbol of the area. Southwark plants loads of indigenous trees and looks after them - look along Solomon's Passage round the new development.
Went to Bambuni on the day it opened - had a great coffe and pastel de nata, bought mortadella and fresh bread and some delicious olives. It's a lovely space, great products, very reasonably priced - get on down there!
