I am also really struggling to post in the for sale section. I have posted several times before (but not for a year). Any help would be greatly received please. Thanks

These two places are utterly fantastic! We have eaten at both over the last few months on several occasions and I would say the staff, the food and the atmosphere is top notch! Head to Hose of Tippler on a Friday or Saturday for an experience and taste sensation - they produce serious quality cocktails, with unusual ingredients at affordable prices. These guys are master of their craft. The Great Exhibition is an awesome local. Really good grub and great service. i love how innovative they are - quiz nights, book readings, great quality live music and an open fire We live in a great area!

We love this area and the people living here. Only had very positive experiences since moving here in June :) -
Hi, I left my laptop on the ground whilst packing the car outside 138 Landells Road this morning - I left without it and it has gone :-( Please please can you let me know if you know where it is or have it - ?150 reward. There are hugely sentimental things on the laptop, so it's really important to me. Please call Christina on 07854677801 or Charlie on 07876562609

Perhaps we can start a "quotes of the week" posting on here for some of the hilarious quotes My personal fav from this week (whether it was a joke or not) during the MIDDLE of the Peckham riots was this (name witheld): QUOTE I'm expecting Ocado literally any minute - does anyone know if they've been able to get through Rye Lane? Atticus - this is a beautiful poem - my brother, Christina's cousin and another friend had this - it's lovely I love you Not only for what you are, But for what I am When I am with you. I love you, Not only for what You have made of yourself, But for what You are making of me. I love you For the part of me That you bring out; I love you For putting your hand Into my heaped-up heart And passing over All the foolish, weak things That you can't help Dimly seeing there, And for drawing out Into the light All the beautiful belongings That no one else had looked Quite far enough to find I love you because you Are helping me to make Of the lumber of my life Not a tavern But a temple. Out of the works Of my every day Not a reproach But a song. I love you Because you have done More than any creed Could have done To make me good. And more than any fate Could have done To make me happy. You have done it Without a touch, Without a word, Without a sign. You have done it By being yourself. Perhaps that is what Being a friend means, After all. by Roy Croft

re riots - should we be active and on the streets?
christina&charlie replied to danmaitland's topic in The Lounge
If that turd on the red scooter with yellow flashes comes up the roads off crystal palace road, I'll take a bloody golf club or piece of wood to him. I think if possible we all remain visible in the area, around businesses and pubs and they won't come. We can't desert streets otherwise it is simply giving them all free reign to do what they want. Get in their way a bit. After all, they are 99% coward Sleep well everyone -
can i borrow/have some cat litter, please? or buy some?

I think the mrs has tracked down a tescos that is open and not being attacked. She has managed to get some. Thanks you guys so much. And yes, how come you have quite so much? Do you stock pile in case of riots / national emergencies? -

lindy, i'm coming down to LL now - going to have a pint at the Palmerston... the Londis is still open but Sainsburys shut at 6pm on the dot this evening. No other shops open on LL really. -
PLEASE can you post concrete facts - photos from Twitter, actual accounts of movement - there must be some of you there that are at home nr LL that are aware of what is happening. I need to make a decision as to whether to come home soon or go stay in Orpington - i'm on my scooter and don't really fancy being punched off it tonight - that nearly happened last night on the junction of Peckham Hill st and Rye lane just before they burnt down the bus - i dodged a couple of the little n0bheads. On another note - why burn down McDonalds, Fried Chicken Hut and JD Sports? Also, why loot Poundland??? Are you serious??

"This is the worst thing I've read. I actually feel ill. Seriously considering moving back to Dublin" That is truly disgusting!!! Why can they not realise that all this does is fan the flames of racism, community separation, prejudice etc etc. I just pray the army are around next time, tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons - these feral youngesters who simply don't know respect and have never had a days discipline in their lives.
-
Deputy mayor "I just don't want to see the army on the street - i'm sure the police can handle this if they get the space to operate" - doofus! what is wrong with water cannons and tear gas??? these "people" are wrecking our community, London's tourism, the future of the Olympics (and subsequent tourism) and desperate loss of control....

re: LL - Londis, palmerston bricked, post office kicked in, chemist looted, ed road Tesco looted Anyone know if it's moved any further up?? Not happy that my mrs is driving home to Barry road now - any news?
-
just scooted home via Peckham high st and took a short cut to avoid a main jct and quite glad I did - did have some lippy little t*rds mouthing off and trying to look hard, but the tension in the area was so visible - i've never seen to many residents of peckham out on the streets at 6pm.
