Any advice on getting a very minor windscreen chip repaired, or hopefully not? I heard a very loud crack driving (in a new car!) on the motorway the other week, and expected significant damage to the windscreen caused by a stone or similar. All I found was a tiny (2mm?) chip, which really surprised me. In fact, I now wonder if it was caused by whatever hit us, but the rest of the car seems unscathed and it drives fine. Anyway, assuming the chip is new, is it worth repairing? I know it might grow and Autoglass (via my insurers) won't charge much, but still... Is it worth it? Have you experienced a loud crack, and later filled it? There, that's the smutty puns started.
