  1. If I was wanting to put my child into daycare, how much could I expect to pay for three days per week? This is purely speculative as I'm only 14 weeks pregnant, but wanting to do a bit of number-crunching. The childcare would start from June 2017... so a wee while away although it seems that nursery places get snapped up quite fast?!

  3. We are looking at the Springboard Family mortgages and am thinking maybe we wouldn't be eligible if we were trying to rent the place and never intend to live in it?
  4. Not sure if anyone can help. Can you get a buy to let mortgage as a first time buyer?

Awww... don't. We only got married in November so we're still newlyweds. Am sure it'll wear off ;)
  6. Love all of these... Has anyone been to any of the following? Bristol Cheltenham Winchester Stratford-upon-Avon Harrogate Thoughts?
  7. Canon in D by Pachebel. We had this for ours, so romantic.
  8. Thank you everyone. Will get in touch with a couple of you via private message to follow-up.
  9. Thank you! Am on Honor Oak Park / top of Forest Hill Road.
  10. East Dulwich Sporting Crabs always looking for players. Can send you details?
  11. On third floor of block of flats, so donation bags never make their way up here. Don't drive and bags are too heavy to carry plus am not near any charity shops. Or if there's anyone who wouldn't mind picking my bits up and taking them to shop next time you go? Would give a contribution to petrol. Thanks

  13. Ah phew... thanks. Hopefully that means it'll arrive before we go away so can set-up DD. Thanks everyone.
  14. But I don't have the statement or anything to action it...
  15. Have people received their statement / payment schedule for 2015/16? I've tried to get in touch with Southwark about it loads of times and nobody gets back to me! I go away on the 20th March and don't come back 'til mid-April and obviously the first payment would be due 1st April... but can't pay it unless I know how much it's for!
  16. We've got our honeymoon coming up and whilst we've got our accommodation sorted, we're still after recommendations for restaurants, bars, things to see in the above destinations. We've got 6 nights in New York, 3 in Washington, 3 in Boston, 3 in Cape Cod and then 2 back in New York before flying home. Look forward to hearing from you.
  17. My other half looks after the East Dulwich Sporting Crabs - can put you in touch? They train on Wednesdays and play on Sundays. Thanks
  18. Does anyone know if the person involved is ok? It made me feel sad - this close to Xmas and they appeared to have bags of shopping on them. Seemed to be a lot of people around when we went by and then we saw Police / ambulances arriving. It's so dangerous that crossing, I really think they should do something about it.
  19. Have recently gotten married and thinking about starting a family, but worried about the cost of it all! I'd have to go back to work full time as I earn a fairly reasonable salary and my other half is self-employed, so could be out of work for weeks / months at a time. I was thinking I could compress my hours over four days, but then that's still four days of childcare we'd need. I know some people say not to worry and that you just manage but it is on my mind. My parents are in Sussex and my in-laws are in Essex so we'd be managing on our own. What's the cheapest childcare option?
  20. Not shocked that we've been burgled, it happens all the time, but shocked by the audacity of it on such a busy road, in broad daylight where they literally smashed through the front doors, they were hanging off afterwards - external one and two front doors to internal flats, and that nobody saw or heard anything. Our internal front door was snapped in two. Also shocked because there was no way of them seeing in our flat, or seeing in the upstairs flat, so it's a massive gamble on their part to smash open our doors, when we could have been inside. In a way I'd rather a window had been broken into or our locks picked, but it was such a brazen way of entering our property.
  21. We're just up from the Upland Road junction...
  22. Yeah it is a busy road so probably don't notice strange noises. Freaking nightmare!
