Anyone got the new uppababy cruz? Struggling to find real life reviews as it's so new. Had one first hand thumbs up but seen a review on mumsnet where she returned it. Anyone got an opinion? Thanks.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - Pls HELP ME!
Ramble66 replied to emma115's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thankfully, pregnancy induced CTS usually resolves quite quickly post pregnancy so fingers crossed you won't have to face an op. CTS in pregnancy is usually caused by swelling, whereas CTS at other times can be caused by thickening of tendons and the carpal sheath impinging the nerve. Hence the need for an operation. -

Wow twins!! Congrats! How was the hot and cold? Just do cold if it's more relieving. Make sure someone checks your blood pressure. Anyway. No more typing! -

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - Pls HELP ME!
Ramble66 replied to emma115's topic in The Family Room Discussion
No problem. Yeah I can imagine you don't like the idea of heat. It can help if you alternate from one to the other, 30seconds of each reported a few time, finishing on cold. It helps boost blood supply and therefore drainage without congesting the area which heat alone would do. But if colds helping stick with it. Glad you are seeing an Osteopath. Have you tried just putting a small pillow under your hands to raise them slightly? Again it might not work. Are your hands noticeably swollen? Hope you find some relief soon. -

Sorry you are suffering. You are doing the right thing icing. Do this regularly even if only for a few minutes. You might find alternating between hot and cold may help too. You could also try soaking them in epson salts solution. Drink plenty of water. Ash at health matters for safe teas to drink with diuretic properties. I'm pretty sure dandelion tea is safe. When the weather cools down you might get some relief. Try sleeping with your arms/hands slightly elevated, and when your awake periodically hold up the hand and open and close the fist to help boast drainage. You could try Osteopathy or gentle drainage massage but it doesn't help in all cases. Are you having any neck/shoulder stiffness too? Avoid repetitive movements. Hope that helps. -
Does it really matter if you only have 1 child?!

Something interesting I read this week was the link between vit D deficiency and infertility, IVF success and recurrent miscarriage. Vit D deficiency is scarily common. Also OP it may be worth your husband having a sperm analysis. Or getting him to take zinc and antioxidants. -
iCandy Cherry v Babyjogger City Mini (4 wheels)

Another we are looking at is the uppababy cruz, basically the little sibling to the vista. -
We stayed team Yellow. Been referring to 'her' as 'she', husband refers to 'him' as 'he'! My BHs aren't painful, although I think they can be towards to end, it's just strange. I agree, no normal. I have people tell me my bump is small and people who think it's big. I've no idea. Just pleased to look pregnant now rather than just bloated. Having clothing nightmare though. Time for a shop I think but don't want to spend much. I seemed to miss the flutter stage and started to feel the odd kick (thud) at 20weeks. Good luck with your scans ladies. I was nervous too. It was great but takes ages. Amazing seeing the heart chambers and she showed us the blood pumping around them. I'm at lewisham so don't get a 36week scan. Won't see baby again now until the birth. Weird!

2nd Advocate. Also used Skoosh spray in the past (for the house) and found it effective. It's silicone based.

Help! 16 month old has leapt out of his cot

Cotbed with bedside rail? -
Have you looked at the new baby jogger versa or uppababy cruz? The Versa is similar to the city mini but allows for parent facing. The cruz is like the vista but smaller (lighter and narrower) but still has the same big seat and basket. With the Cruz you can either buy get the carry cot or use the snug seat. Tommy's in Peckham stock the Cruz.

Yeah I feel good. Still occasional tired days and when I have to eat, I have to eat!! 20 week scan was amazing. Stayed team yellow. Just realised it'll probably save me money! If I knew it was a girl could have just spent a fortune on GAP! When is your 20week scan? I hated the bloat stage. Popped at 17/18weeks. Now at 22 weeks definitely look pregnant. Glad you're feeling good too. Ive had loads of twinges, pulls, cramps. All normal but a bit disconcerting. It was worse from weeks 15-20. Now I'm getting daily uterus contractions which I think are classed as braxton hicks? They don't last long. Esp happens after I pee if my bladder was full.

You can have a water birth at home. I'm between this and birthing centre. Love the halo lilo. I'm going to hopefully come for drinks. Not sure I'll be able to convince the husband to come though. How is everyone feeling? I'm feeling well. Bump growing pretty quickly now.

Alexandra Rock at the vale practice. She's very knowledgable.

Thanks ladies. Think we're going to do it. It doesn't seem many regret spending the money.

Hi n_m - Nice to 'meet' you. I love the idea of a home birth too. I don't think it matters that your space is small as long as there's room for the birthing pool. Love the idea of a cuppa in bed with the baby straight after the birth. We just can't decide about NCT. Seems so much to spend to basically just make friends but then friends are important. I've found that ladies who did it recommend it and those that didn't say you make friends anyway, so save the money. I managed to have a pretty symptom free first trimester. Tiredness hit at 12 weeks and bump started to appear at 15 weeks. I am having lots of twinges/tugging but keep reminding myself it's just ligaments. Can't wait to feel movement. How have you been?
