Ask which aisle washing powder is in and all will be revealed... if you don't quite catch what's said, nip into chener books and get the bangladeshi to english 'phrase' guide...

The free Jager is offered outside of food service hours in an effort to get people from The Actress to The Bishop as the latter stays open longer.
  3. Terrible, what sort of animal (no pun intended) would let something like this happen??
  4. Very sorry for your loss - if there was foul play involved then I sincerely hope they catch anyone involved.

The Mag is also very similar - there were more staff than customers when I went in! I am a big fan of The Actress, always top staff and beers on offer as well as The Bishop (I think they are both owned by the same person/group?)... get yourself a free Jager 'Bomb' if you go to both in one night as well which is a treat. Black Cherry has good drinks but I think an invalid could have served me quicker, 10mins to get a glass of wine and a cocktail!

I wouldn't say I 'know' any regulars and I can also gladly say my days working in a supermarket are well behind me... At the end of the day it's an alright shop, nothing special, but certainly nothing for people to go mental about! The staff, well the ones I can understand, are always quite helpful and it's a good little shop to pop in on the way home after work for some reduced bits and pieces...
  7. Are you lot mental? the Co-op is the best food store in East Dulwich... always well stocked and very helpful staff - that nutter who goes in there about 7ish most nights ranting about this and that is quite a laugh as well!

  9. Firstly, hello all - this is my first post on the EDF and hopefully not my last... I too have terrible 'fox problems' - only last night I was woken at 3am to what sounded like a number of foxes having some sort of gladiator battle in my back garden, it really is noisy and I know a number of my neighbours are suffering as well... I live off Crystal Palace Road and will be urinating around my house tonight so I will keep you all updated on what effect this has. I suppose we could all chip in for some traps and hopefully deter these filth that way?
