  1. Every year we buy my sister-in-law's 4 children ranging from 3 to 7, clothes for Christmas as they always get mountains of toys and other toot from friends/the rest of the family. What with only having 117 shopping days left I thought I'd start having a think.... This year we wanted to do something a bit more special. Was thinking of getting gift vouchers for a family day out somewhere or maybe personalised keepsake items? Any of you mums out there got any ideas?
  2. Rosie: send me a PM and I'll find out the next screening of it. ;) also do the blues brothers which is a brilliant one! Petra: the best way (IMO) if you have out of towners or people on limted budgets is to split the day across more than one venue. The last hen do I attended went like this. Lunch at posh hotel afternoon cokctails at a bar in Leicester Square Comedy club in the evening Some people came to everything, some people just came for lunch, some people came out in the evening. Something for everyone is the key!
  3. LOL! I work at the Prince Charles Cinema and Singalonga Grease and Sound of Music are really good for hen-dos! We also do Rocky Horror, Little Shop of Horrors and Bugsy Malone singalongs. Also, just a thought but if you want something a little more reserved. The hilton at Park Lane do for ?25 a head a chocolate based afternoon tea that is to die for!!!!
  4. how about Maison Toureg in Greek Street. Set price meals (morrocan) and then has entertainment with belly-dancing. they can also arrange for additional entertainment. Or a Karaoke bar? Or Bloomsbury Bowl? or a Burlesque show in Leicester Square?
  5. Peter at 1st bounce is local and reasonable for bouncy castles. 07527811845

  11. SE15 originally and now live in SE23 but I reckon I spend enough money in SE22 to have an opinion, and, for the record, FH is lovely in parts, a bit like ED! Perhaps you should email admin and have him ask for proof of address for any new users to the forum?

  16. Did you get this information from the police?
  17. Yes, call Peter Steward from 1st Bounce. They are Dulwich based and really really reasonable!. 07527 811 845 Please tell him Thea recommended you if you do call them
  18. The poster is also doing the rounds on facebook. I have shared this and asked all my local friends to do the same!
  19. I'm Catholic and had 7 godparents, two are Greek Orthodox, one atheist and the rest a mix of C of E and Catholic - I think it is up to the priest's discretion..... Godparent is a term of respect as well as being a religious 'title', I think it's lovely for both the child and the godparents.
  20. How about guide parents?
  21. Yes, my other half had really bad nightmares with Champix but peservered and it paid off! also had really bad rash on his forearms for a couple of weeks!
  22. What is he using to quit out of interest? My other half quit two years ago using Champix. He was a 30-40 a day smoker and was intolerable for the first 3 weeks -being in a bad mood or just generally complaining. Having quit myself 5 years ago I was able to empathise with him but nonetheless found his mood swings hard work. Make a list of all the odd-jobs you've been meaning to sort and get him to focus on one of those things if he has had a particularly bad day - I found my OH needed to keep himself (in particular his hands) busy! I also found having a few packs of sugar free mints lying around for him was pretty handy!
  23. search for DeptfordDiva on here, she's the best person for advice IMO.
