citizen ed and mamora man i agree it is a sad state when you cannot trust anyone, and very depressing that you cant. And yes I would hand in a wallet or phone if it had been lost and have done so. However just because you and I dont know of anyone personally who wouldnt hand in something that they have found doesnt mean that everyone is the same. Yes their are more good people in the world than bad (fingers x) but when your out and about and there are people around you that you dont know you have to just be cautious. once something like this happens to you, you are usually are more cynical of people and keep an eye on your possesions/children more than you did before.

really sorry to hear about your purse, people like that are scum, doesnt matter where you are their will always be opportunists around. my friend got his bag stolen from the park when he was pushing his child on the swing. remember the golden rule - trust no one!

yes lenk i am sure the needle exchange wont be in the nursery but in my opinion better the two arent right on top of each other, there are plenty other places where their could be a needle exchange.

regarding the needle exchange there is a nursery right next door to the doctors and I dont think its a good idea that the two mix.

hi At fenton walsh (the clothes boutique) we are open 7 days a week every week excluding easter sunday, christmas day, boxing day and new years day. monday, tues and weds 10 - 5.30 thurs and fri 10 - 7.00 sat 10 - 6 sun 11 - 4 And I know alot of the other businesses do simaler hours, so it is worth coming down to bellenden road and to support your local shops in this tough climate.

bellenden road is a lovely little area, its not a big main street like lordship lane but is still a quite a busys street and services those who cant make it to lordship lane or choose to shop somewhere different. it has a good selection of little independent shops and yes it could do with a few more but they will come. lordship lane 8 years ago was very different to what it is now, it takes time for areas to become established. all the below are whats available on bellenden road and if you have never been down here give it a go! review - bookshop petit tou - cafe the montpelier - lovely pub fenton walsh - clothes shop casa - reclaimed furniture melange - chocolate shop and cafe fish and chip shop that also sells fresh fish newsagents friends of fabric - drycleaners and alteration shop cafe ora crossroads cafe wishing well pub launderette locksmiths 2 x estate agents plumbing shop sunblessed bakery stationers 24/7supermarket hairdressers dog parlour and you cant forget sams kebabs! soon to be opened - vegetarian cafe in what use to be lucius and richards and also a rumour that the old carpet shop is going to be a foody shop aswell!!

have you tried going into the gowlett arms to see if someone there may have lost them - landlords usually have lots of key!!!

I think The montpelliar is a great local, the food is really good, its reasonable, and its nice and cosy. You have to expect that there will be the odd bad experience but keep trying as its worth it! I especially recommend their pies yum! we need to support our locals or they will vanish!

heber school have there xmas fair on saturday 12 - 3, just off lordship lane on heber road.

i know its a bit late now and you have already been for your meal but the montepellier put choumert road is lovely, you should try there another time

spangles - everyone is allowed there own opinion and it seems as usual you are loving to disagree. Chantelle - bellenden is a lovely area of peckham, go in any of the shops or cafes down there and you will get a good feel for the area so you can make up your own opinions

bellenden road is lovely - i have lived in peckham for 10 years, oglander road for 3 years and now just round the corner from there for the past 7. Bellenden has a really nice bohemian feel to it, there is a lovely community spirit and feels like a little villiage with lots of lovely little shops, nice bars and restaurants. the regenaration has helped the area and it is only going to get better. peckham rye station isnt that desirable i agree but as soon as you turn right out of the station you enter a different nicer peckham. as previous person said you probably just had an unfortunate day of bumping into dodgy people just like you would anywhere else in london on a bad day. move here its great!!

i agree mcdonalds is evil and is junk food!!! they try and suck our kids in with free toys and proccessed food. and why would you want to buy food from someone over the counter who cant even look you in the eye as you know they are doing all sorts of unmentionables to your mcdog burger!

i agree montpellier food is fantastic!
