Jim, from what I understand, an estate agent who has previously introduced you to the vendor would still be entitled to some part of their fee if not all of it. If you do speak to the vendor ask them to check the smallprint of their agreement to confirm the matter. I've heard stories where people have sold a house this way and the agent has found out and successfully claimed their fee, but like I say it all depends on the T & C's of the original signed agreement...
