  4. Mick, what happens to shares in a company that eventually gets nationalised e.g. banks?!
  5. Some more ideas... Recycle a Mouse Mat I particularly like the one for using a couple of mats as a cushion when sitting on a wooden bench in a beer garden, is there no bounds to mans' imagination?..
  6. Indoor frisbee...

  13. 'Don't forget that song was for chariddy'... http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=tbn:2dxuZdshlbD4KM::www.bbc.co.uk/home/images/main_promo/radio2/r2_highlights_l_1.jpg
  14. That'll be 'Oh! You Pretty Things' TL, it was on the album Hunky Dory...
  15. Obama is all about 'hope', (apparently you need this in abundance to be a West Ham fan Quids...;-)) something we could do with over here...with Cameron all I get is 'here we go again'...
  16. Hang on, I've just re-read the question, it's something to do with Wembley, right?
  17. I set the orignal question and remember Buxton is supposed to have the 'highest' football ground...
  18. I'll never feel guilty again about returning Aunty Flo's Xmas jumper pressie to Markies...
  19. But Quids, in 10 years time you'll be saying the same things about another Tory Gov't, have you already forgotten the Major sleaze years?...there's a huge vacuum in British politics waiting to be filled, and Cameron ain't the man... *dusts down old copy of The Jam's Eton Rifles and reminisces about the good old days*
  20. Quids, sounds like Bowie was a soundtrack to your earlier life so you shouldn't worry what later generations think. I don't think it's fair to judge Bowie listening to compilation cd's and playlists. He was very much an album artist, and I would say his most artistically successful albums were the period between Hunky Dory up to Heroes. Bowie is and will continue to be an influence for many years to come, unlike Oasis...
  21. Well done Ruffers! They should've trialed a goalie with a 8 foot rod up his arse!..
  22. What was used in the 1973 FA Cup Final and never used again? Clue: I used to have one with my Subutteo set...
  23. Mick, when I was a student in Scotland I used to go to 'Paradise' and sample 'The Jungle', quite an experience! I would often go wearing my Utd colurs, and because of the close links between the clubs never had a problem. You quite often see Celtic fans at Old Trafford too. Probably one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at a football match was when Celtic won the league in their centenary year, 1988. I remember there was a small contingent of Dundee 'wannabee Rangers' fans, who left the ground after only 15 mins as Celtic stormed into a 3-0 lead!..
  24. Paul Brietner? Franz Beckenbauer? Berti Vogts? Can't think of anymore, gis a clue... Been racking my brains with the 72 and 76 World Cup sides, how about Wolfgang Overmath?
