  2. Thanks everyone for these great tips and recommendations! I can also add DoYogaWithMe guided meditations for adults and kids (and also for yoga home practice!) https://www.doyogawithme.com/content/guided-meditations-kids
  3. Can any one recommend a meditation class or teacher for an 8yr old? He?s showing an interest and we think it could boost his concentration at school, as well as the other benefits. Many thanks for any advice or tips!
  4. I support the development of new housing in the area, but the basement excavation seems unnecessary and will certainly cause a massive amount of disruption, noise, pollution and safety concerns. I've signed the petition for these reasons. Thanks to the organisers of the petition for raising it and creating the opportunity to comment.
  5. Our little one starts reception at Dulwich Village Infants next week. Incredibly, 60 of the 90 children across three reception classes are boys. I'm curious whether this is a quirk of the catchment, or a wider trend. Any ideas? Thanks!
  6. Also recommend the snuggley wrap. Shameless plug but coincidentally I've just decided to sell ours (Kari Me) and posted it on to the classifieds list, amongst other items we have sadly outgrown. We used our sling from birth & found it by far the most comfortable. Also baby *loved* being snuggled in close.
  7. Hello. I've just moved back to East Dulwich. My daughter was doing a colour strings class for a few months and the results were amazing. She can sing very well now and I'd like to see if a local class ever got off the ground (as discussed above). Please let me know if so, or if not I'd love to help get something started. Many thanks.
  8. Hi there! We moved back to our home town 18 months ago & have never stopped missing London! It has been great to be close to family, altho they miss London too now we have left! We are hoping to move back in July! ED has very special qualities, and those deep friendships are hard to replace. On the other hand, moving back to our home town made us cross eyed with boredom, so perhaps that's an important factor. If you move to the beautiful west country, perhaps look for somewhere less familiar so you can still enjoy exploring. Only you know what's best for your family. Good luck!
  9. My daughter found a jellycat White rabbit on the pavement by the bus stop outside ED train station today. We looked for an owner but no-one was around to claim him. It's very sad as judging by his appearance he is much loved. Oh dear, we had quite a dilemma about whether we should have left him there but decided in the end to take him home and make every effort to track down the lost owner! Please PM me if you can help us reunite child with lost rabbit!
  10. Hi Just out of curiosity, does anyone know of a local East Dulwich primary school that doesn't have a school uniform? Neither I nor my hubby wore uniforms at primary, middle or secondary school, which wasn't THAT long ago... Are they now completely ubiquitous? thanks!
  11. Hi any tips please on drop in or sign up music and movement classes for our 22 month old? thanks!
  12. Any tips please for a nice venue for our toddler's second birthday? We'd like somewhere fun for the tots and fun for grown-ups too! Thanks!
