  1. JoJo is turning into, a…. Charity shop! I asked in there this morning.
  2. I'm pretty sure it's illegal for an au pair to have sole charge for under 2 year old children. Either way, they certainly won't have experience. You need a live in nanny instead perhaps?
  3. Thanks for the recommendation Viki! I'm glad the cake went down well :-)
  4. Hi, I'm a nanny for a little girl who's just turned 3 and is about to start Herne Hill school nursery on Thursdays. I thought it'd be nice for her to have a little buddy before she starts if possible and wondered if anyone would like to meet up before then or in general! (I'm also available for babysitting if interested!) Sarah
  5. I've worked a number of seasons for Neilson in Dabab, Porto Heli, Lemnos and Vassiliki. I've worked as kids club staff, windsurf instructer and freelance photographer! Feel free to ask any questions you may have!
  6. Oh so sad :-(
  7. Have you tried a Facebook search?
  8. Do not lift. It's gets the child into a habit of weeing whilst half asleep, which then makes it more difficult for them to get out of that habit. Children will only be dry at night once a specific hormone has been released. Don't put pressure on, just keep pull ups as part of nighttime and once they've been consistantly dry for a few weeks then consider changing to a waterproof sheet. Just do not lift your child.

    Advice please

Oh poor you! Don't try and do anything yourself, it can often make it worse. Contact these guys- http://www.bed-bugs.co.uk/ my parents used them (in cambridge!) and they were brilliant. They are a total menace and you need to get professional help ASAP. Wash sheets and clothes etc at 60 degrees to kill them for a start- anything cooler and they can survive. My parents had them come out and get rid of the bugs, they also had some stuff frozen in battersea and haven't had a problem since. Just PLEASE don't try and do it yourself with sprays etc. they can often spread the problem and encourage the bugs to hide. They can survive 18months with no food so encouraging then to hide is the worst thing you want to do! Good luck!
  11. Just stick a pool woggle under the sheet, job done!
  12. My sister offers it as part of her business, it's called a 'hypno-band'. It's not what people think as in tricking your mind into thinking you've had the operation but it gives you the tools to realise that you don't have to over eat and gives you back a sense on control. Over eating, like other things such as OCD, drinking too much and many more symptoms stem from a person feeling powerless and often has fluctuating levels or chronic low levels of self esteem. Hypno band helps you tackle all of these areas for a permanent solution. You can call Claire on 07855220338 to find out more, or google 'Claire Gaskell hypnotherapy'.

  14. What is wrong with people?! Someone is asking for help and that's what I was trying to do! Therapy does help, that's the point of it! I've got no idea why you wouldn't think that would be appropriate! It's not about 'peddling wares' it's about trying to actively offer help and solutions. It's great that people can offer sympathy but sometimes that's just not enough. Sorry for the hijack OP, I didn't mean it to become an ongoing discussion.
  15. I was looking for interest of people taking part, no opinions about weight loss tv. Whatever you may think about it, therapy can help people. If people want to go on tv to do it it's not your judgement call to make. I think it's a shame there's so many negative comments about this
  16. It's alright, now all these comments are up I'm sure anyone interested will be put right off anything to do with weight loss, going on tv or my sisters business. So maybe if you're lucky none of you will be 'forced' into watching it.
  17. Got no idea! It was sent on to me by a friend of mine who thought I'd find it interesting (which I did) but I didn't reach a conclusion to what I thought to it tbh. I did buy the book 'why French kids don't throw food' though, which I've been really enjoying.
  18. Interesting mini-article about ADHD http://m.psychologytoday.com/blog/suffer-the-children/201203/why-french-kids-dont-have-adhd
  19. It is one method- like many things: CBT, acupuncture, medication etc but of course the sessions will be different depending on what you're there for. The Thrive theory can be applied to many things because it all shares the same core element- that it's to do with the way you think. I don't see the problem in trying different therapies out there with the hope that one will solve the problem, I'm not sure why anyone would.
  20. Ok, it doesn't matter. I was just hoping to help both my sister with her business, and any potential clients who may wish to loose weight or help with any of the other issues they may have. By making this out to be so negative you've managed to ensure that neither of those things happen. Congratulations.
  21. Anything is possible with the right treatment. Until you've tried all the different methods and had no luck then you can't say it's not possible. Claire has had clients who have a tried all other routes and hers is the only one which 'worked'. Read the thrive book reviews on amazon and you'll find people who have had ME for years and been down all the usual routes, however through the thrive therapy they were rid of it. It's totally up to the individual what treatment you try but until you've tried as many as possible then you won't know what your potential is
  22. It may appear 'sad' but if it means more people will get help then its a small price to pay
  23. That's a little bit harsh. Just because its televised doesn't mean it has to be a 'freak show' a lot of it comes down to the editing. Seeing therapy take place on tv can show people what actually happens and will hopefully encourage more people to seek it rather than simply living with their problems.
  24. Hi all, my sister runs a therapy called Thrive (googleable) which deals with many things including depression, anxiety, stress, phobias amongst many other things. She's at www.clairegaskellhypnotherapy.com Do give her a call, she's building up a very full client base at the moment and having great success at helping people. As a former thrive client, she was so impressed with how much it helped her, she decided to go on and train as a therapist herself! It doesn't need to be a part of life you 'manage with', you can be rid of it properly. Sarah
