It's really sad that Roche has gone but went to heavenly hair and nails today and can highly recommend them. The lady in charge was very friendly did a great job with my hair and was fab with the kids. It's a bit further along from barsolona towards the tile place opposite what was the grove pub. ?25 for ladies wash cut and blowdry and ?10 each for the children. Worth governing them a try as I was really impressed.

Does travel cot need a mattress?
ludoscotts replied to Terresa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We used to find our little one wouldn't sleep in a travel cot ( we think because it wasn't as padded) so we used to put a single duvet in it then a sheet over the top to make it more padded, worked a treat and no problems once it was a bit comfier. -
My daughter goes to Goodrich and we are very happy with the school. No you hardly ever see the head but whenever I've had an issue I've emailed and had a response from him and answered my questions and concerns. The newsletter that we got yesterday does say that they are expecting ofstead this term and are fully expecting it to become an outstanding school on this inspection. I'd much rather have a head teacher that was pushing the school in the right direction as far as learning, attendance etc than have him available to meet and chat to parents face to dace on every little whim. It is the teachers and school staff that will be having the relationships with the children not the head teacher so I'm not concerned with never seeing him. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the school and couldn't be happier so personally I think if you have been offered a place you are incredibly lucky as by the time your child starts they will be at an outstanding school.

Where would you stay in Mallorca?
ludoscotts replied to Fragolina's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Have a look at sa coma. We stayed at the bouganvillia hotel. It's lovely fantastic 6 pools for kids one with giant splash zone, the hotel isn't high rise it's built like a small med village very very pretty with gardens I between all of the blocks etc. there is a big top tent on one side if you want entertainment or a quitter poolside bar if you just want a quiet drink. They have studios and 1 and 2 bed apartments. With cooking rings and fridges so can self cater for lunches etc. you can pay to go into the restaurant if you don't want to walk into resort for food in the evening or you can go all inclusive. Resort is quiet but pleanty of restaurants with children's bouncy castles/ play areas. Lovely walk along beach to next resort. Near the caves of drach etc. we have been twice and thought for families with kids it's great. The beach is about a 15 min walk or a free land train down. Really worth checking it out. Was cheaper the second time we went as we booked the hotel, flights and transfers separately. -
If not we got ours from Linda on ringmore rise. Lovey lady and gigs were in a lovely condition. She also offers a sitting service when you go away on holiday. Her no is 020 8291 4136

No I avoided it when my daughter was little kept her away from it when buying clothes etc then I had a son and told I couldn't have any more children(medical problems) I now embrace the pink as I'm not going to have any more little girls! She went through a stage when she was about 4 when all she wanted was pink (maybe because I purposely hadn't been buying pink clothes etc) so when I did start slipping in the odd pink item she went crazy for it... She is 6 now and does actually choose other colours herself now when given the choice so maybe a little bit here abd there isn't too bad....

My daughter went to Dulwich village preschool and my son now goes there too. They loved it and they can do full days from 3 which is a plus when organising childcare and working etc. -

ludoscotts replied to TheShelleys's topic in The Family Room Discussion
The lilac door is fab but father in law stayed there and there is a lady who has a self contained B and B flat, on court lane that people say is good. Google B and B court lane Dulwich which is how I found the details. -

Hi you may find a childminder who would give discounts for siblings. I'm a childminder and I do for the 2 siblings that I care for. I qualified this year and you do get to charge what you like but I've stuck to what they told us on the course which they recommend either around ?5-6 per hour then charge for your holidays or ?6-7 per hour and do t charge for time you take off on holiday. Hope that helps. If you have any questions send me a pm. Leanne

Over sensitive Angle Care motion sensor - Help
ludoscotts replied to lulu's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We had the tommy tippee one and following the instructions we were told to put the pad in a certain way but it like yours kept going off. We turned ours round. The instructions said to put it in cot with the smallest side to the top of the cot but as our daughter rolled around so much we turned it so it went across width ways instead and never had another false alarm. Does that make sense? Hae you tried this? -
Hi I became registered earlier this year so have just gone through the process. Happy to answer any questions or meet for a coffee if you want to know more. Leanne
